Recent Travel to Charlottesville, VA

Just returned from a trip to Charlottesville. My Nuvi 350 took me where ever I needed to go, including the Boar's Head Inn, where I stayed, Monticello (Jefferson's home), Montpelier (James Madison's home), & Ashlawn (Pres Monroe's home). Enjoyed Skyline Drive for my return to the Washington, D.C. area.

There's lot of scenic places to visit & fine dining is readily available. I particularly enjoyed the Ivy Inn Restaurant - small place with impeccably prepared food.

Keep on travelin'

Charlottesville

What was surprising, Bob, was that on Route 29, Rt 20, & 15 there was, what appeared to be red light cameras all over the place. Got no alerts despite having the most up to date red light & speed cameras. Perhaps there's no one out there to report the sites.

However, traveler beware in this area.

Those are not Red Light

Those are not Red Light cameras. They are the cameras that detect traffic presence and governs the light changes and the flow of traffic. They replace the old "wires under the road" system.

Arlington, VA is the only city in the Commonwealth of VA using Red Light Camera enforcement.
