Do not buy the 2010 Map Update Disc from Bestbuy. It's only update to 2009.10 and then you have to call customer service, send them receipt to get another code and download the 2010 map from their website.

Yes, most, and probably all, will have 2010 maps. If they don't you are entitled to a free update within 60 days of the device first obtaining a satellite lock.

The lifetime map is good for the life of the device... and, unless they do another FUBAR firmware update that unleashes something that turns your unit into a brick shortly after you sign-on for the lifetime deal... if you get at least 3 years of updates I'd say you'd be doing pretty good.

The Garmin_RMU_CNNANT 2010.10 maps were released in early April and I downloaded mine on 4/8/2009.
The next update is due out very soon if they hold the scheule they have been releasing on this year.
