Garmin nuvi 760 and mapsource

I have several issues, or problems. Firstly, I've recently downloaded mapsource to do routing and transfer routes to the 760. Yes, I know the 760 will do the routing but every day I get 20-40 new waypoints that come from Streets and Trips, or in .CSV form.

So, everday I manually type them in, I'd like to download the file into mapsource, without typing it out and upload it directly to the 760 to save time and preven errors. I've tried converting the S&Trips file (*.est) with POI converter to (*.gpx or *csv), but can't get mapsource to recognize the file or upload the file.

Secondly, I can't get the 760, to load my NT North American maps to mapsource, simply says no maps found.

Lastly, and thanks for bearing with me... I can't get the 760 to recognize any of the mp3 files, or jpeg pix's on the SD card. It's a 1G card.

Getting very frustrated, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Frustrated with garminman.

Mapsource imports GPX files of waypoints. Are you setting the "Files of Type" to ALL when you are trying to open GPX files in Mapsource? Are you looking under the Waypoint tab in MapSource?

You can't copy your maps from the Nuvi to MapSource. You need to install the maps from a DVD install. You said that you downloaded MapSource. The download does not come with map files. If you have a Map Update DVD, just install the update again and this time it will find MapSource and copy the maps there, too. If you do not have a map update file or DVD, you'll have to get the MapSource DVD from Garmin with the matching map file on it. Garmin will typically send you this for free, charging only for the shipping.
