Just ordered Red Light Camera POI but not sure how it works. When using my 255W to navigate from point A to B, does the Red Light Camera work on the bacground to automatically warn me when I approach an intersection which is being monitored by Red Light Camera? any set up on my 255W I have to perform for this feature to work ?

Does anyone know how to orient travel direction to the top of screen when off road?

When I first purchased my nuvi 205W I added several favorites that I now want to delete. I deleted them through my actual device but they will randomly reappear for no reason that I can see. I know it is the same ones I have deleted multiple times but I cannot figure out why they are reappearing.

ok, i finally bought a nuvi, but it doesn't have a truck route on it like my old c330. is there anyway to add a truck route?

I'm in the process of re-entering my favorites after the V4.80 to V4.70 Downgrade blew all favorites away... Due to the fact that V4.80 is buggy, and Delete's Red and Yellow lines on my Traffic alerts....

Usually I create a favorite this way:
Hit Address... Enter it, and his SAVE, and give it a name.

My Nuvi sometimes routes me one way going and another way coming back. Does anyone know why?

I recently purchased an SD card for my Garmin 255W and have taken the time to download a number of POI files from this web site. I was really proud of the work I did until I tested the files on my GPS. I entered a destination and then selected that I wanted to search for POI's along "My Current Route". I then went to Extras and selected my "Custom POI's".

I did everything I have learned from this Forum about loading icon into my GPS (Garmin 255W) with no success.
Change the name of icon to match the POI file name. Check for double extension and/or extra ., set the file size to 20x20 and mode to 256 color index 8 bits file.
the bmp and csv files are in the same folder with exact same name except the extension.

After my nuvi 660 updated to bluetooth ver. 3.40 the unit screen locks totally.I have to turn off the gps and then start the unit and then enable bluetooth again but it wont connect to the phone again after that update.
I have a Sonyericsson C905 and it workd fine before the uppdate.I allso tryed with Sonyericsson K750 and K800.

I tried loading some POI's for the first time on my new 1490, but they're not showing up in the Custom POI list. The POI's were downloaded from this site and are .csv files that I put into a specific folder. Using Garmin POI Loader, I went through the install process, selecting the folder where the csv files are at, and completing the installation process with no error messages.

Will the latest Garmin maps work on an old Nuvi 200?

I have a Nuvi 1350T with a 4gb SD Card. When I originally moved most of my POIs to the Card all of the Icons associated with the files would appear on my nuvi. As I have updated the POI files and removed the associated file on the nuvi and then used POI Loader to install the updated file on the nuvi onto the SD Card I have lost the Icons.

Is it possible to delete just one or two custom POI's or do you have to delete the whole batch?

Garmin has released Mapsource version 6.16.0.2 Beta for download. Changes log reads:

how much data does the mileage report hold before the unit ovwewrites the mileage .csv file?

How do you change the side bar info list tothe bar at the bttm of the screen.

I was wondering if the Garmin Nuvi 1350T is capable of having a More Info button in the regular view of the map. Right now I have to click on the map for a top down view like below to get the More Info link to appear.

Just wondering if it's worthwhile to report obvious routing errors? If so, to whom do we report them too and has anyone ever seen a fix put out for them?

Hi all,

Just bought a Nuvi265w on the weekend. Did the registration part, the Webupdate part, and all that. So, I qualify for a free map update to 2010.40. I downloaded it twice, and it will sit on "0% Extracting" forever. I even left it overnight, and it still won't unpack.

I'm running XPhome SP2 and I don't have issues with having the device show up as a drive or anything.
