So I'm driving home, GPSr on the dash testing out the traffic feature when, while at a stop light, the display starts spinning as though I'm turning around back and forth ... Then it loses satellites... No, I didn't get the message referring to updates...

Then...

... it can't find them at all ...

WTF?!

4GB seems like it's likely to work.
8GB I've heard nothing about; I'm hoping it'll fly.

Garmin support seems to be scatter-brained about this.

This is the first dedicated GPS that I have owned. Had one that mated with my Laptop Computer.

Within MapSource version 6.15.11, is there a way to change the font size display for the way points on the map? (viewing from MapSource not from Nuvi GPS)

I have so many way points on a map and and the label of those way points cover up the map display, just want to see if there is a way to make those label to display small as possible.

I had a strange one happen Saturday with the 855. We went out to do five cemetery caches and twice while I was still in the cemetery I had it route me to the next cemetery. It gave me the standard message to drive to the highlighted route, and here is where the strange part is.

At lower right corner is an Icon for Traffic...Went back and forth on expressways today in Chicagoland, and today the traffic logo was Grey...

Last week, after re-entering the Traffic Activation codes, I thought this was yellow....

I can't seem to find any information as to what the grey color means....

I updated my 760 to 4.90 a little while ago and I'm noticing some strange behavior with Red Light Camera warnings.

When the intersection is one where I have a turn, I get the bong bong ONCE, but no display on the screen. If I stop and start again, I get the bong bong again, but still no display. After I make the turn, the gray bar with the RLC notice appears very briefly.

hey guys, i have a nuvi 765t and a verizon vx8300 (I know its supposedly ancient). for some reason i cannot view my list of contacts on my 765t. i used to be able to on the 660 and i was sure to be able to do so on my first 765t (before it blanked out n had to get a new one).

i have a Garmin 265t and i can't remember how to up load files.

Note: I am very new at installing POI's.

Just this week I downloaded several POI's. Most worked well, but I have a problem with a few of them.

1. Loaded the California Kaiser medical facilities. However, none of my local facilites show up when I look for them in the Custom POI's.

I just tried the latest Mapsource beta. Don't use it.

The crashed my Mapsource, which I had to remove from my computer. I am still trying to get Garmin to recognize my use of Mapsource Versions 8 and 9, and they will not load.

This happens occasionally. After entering a destination (Nuvi 780) and if I stop along the way I have to reenter the destination. It seems to happen when I stop shortly after entering the destination. Any suggestions?

I just bought a 765T to replace my stolen 750.. Being the cheap SOB I am, I bought a refurb..

As mentioned in other areas on this forum (and elsewhere), there were no special instructions for registering the unit, so I just went ahead and did it...

Sure enough, there was a map update available that they expected me to buy... Yup.. $$$.

What is Extra_POI_Editor?

It does too many things for me to explain in a short post, so let's say it will allow you to view, edit and convert any GPX/CSV/OV2/JPG/KML/MGLN POI file to GPX/CSV/OV2/KML. Yes! Geocoded JPG can be imported too!

I think the answer is no. Navigation and Proximity Alerts should work together.

I am asking this because while I was navigating to a destinating, the GPS didn't warn me of a redlight camera.

On the way back, without the navigation, the GPS warned me of the same redlight camera.

When transferring a Folder from Garmin Road Trip to the Zumo 660 using the Road Trip option "Transfer - Send Folder to GPS" - the text entered in the "comment" section of Road Trip waypoints does not transfer to the GPS. Coordinates and Name upload properly, however, text entered in the comment block does not upload to the GPS.

Am I making a procedural error with the transfer of Folders.

Has anyone encountered issues with creating a POI using Garmin Road Trip and Exporting the POI to a Mac computer.

I just noticed that Costco is having a sale with the Nuvi 765T with lifetime map update for $250.00.

I recently bought a DNX9140, and when I loaded my POIs, my sounds are not working. After doing a quick search, I see that others have mentioned the same problem, but I have yet to find any kind of answer if it's possible, and if so how to get them to work. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with the Kenwood units playing proximity alert sounds.
