Sound is gone

I lost my sound on my Nuvi 750. I did a hard reboot but no help. Reinstalled the firmware but no help. Any ideas?

Darn, I hope that doesn't happen to my 750. I doubt that any of this applies or will help, but...

I assume you have no sound at all and are not just missing voice directions. If just voice directions, make sure you've chosen a TTS voice.

I also assume that you've checked to make sure that your audio isn't muted and the volume is turned up, both for the main volume and for the individual volume controls under Tools/Settings.

Good luck and report back if you find a fix.

Go volume from menu page and make sure no check mark in mute.

Go to tools, settings, touch language and make sure you have a selection under voice and text.

Sometimes

This sometimes happens on my 765T. It only seems to be when I am broadcasting sound to an FM radio station and the receive an incoming phone call (when bluetooth is active)

It's usually a matter of just turning the unit off and then on again.

sound

I hope it is still under warranty.I had to send mine back and they replaced it with another, then I had to update the maps.I'm on my third 750 first time it was replaced for video problem then the audio [headphone jack still worked]problem like you described. It was not caused from abuse either.Good thing was it was replaced fast both times .Crossing my fingers with the latest one as my warranty period is over.

reset

reset it again. When my 250 lost sound it somehow took 2 resets to clear it up. If it could take two I can imagine that there are even times when it might require more than that, but I think resetting has a good chance of getting things working.
