More missing data from Garmin Maps. I landed at the Atlanta Airport and the Garmin Current map version has no Idea whats going on in Atlanta.

Ah AAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

The New car rental center Completed last year does not exist in the current map software, neither does the roads you need to take to get out of the airport and on to Interstate 75 from the airport.

For trail / geocaching use is the "T" version better than the non "T" version. What are the differences in topo vs basemaps.

I'm not able to update maps to my zumo 660 using vista 64 bit, with the amd chip. I can down load the map file but after extration I get an error message when trying to connect to garmin. (Don't know if that is the gps or the garmin web site). Updates work fine on another computer running XP. Any suggestions welcome.

Can you tell me the downsides of this Garmin model. I'm thinking of picking up a second unit (my first is a 350) for my better half's use. I know it doesn't have a mp3 player. I assume it can have an extra card for poi's. Anyway, what are the problems with it?

I have done several searches both on this forum and Internet wide including Gary's awesome site but there is something I don't really get about creating TourGuide files. I am for some reason, really having a hard time getting my head around this.

I have had my new 500 for about a week and love it. Though most process aren't really intuitive for me I am finding my way around it.

I have set different vehicles for different modes, but, then the next time I go to that mode, they have reset back to the vehicles that came on the Nuvi 500.

How do I get the gps to keep my vehicle settings??

I lost my sound on my Nuvi 750. I did a hard reboot but no help. Reinstalled the firmware but no help. Any ideas?

Does anyone here have any tips to help with geocaching using the Colorado 400t. The biggest problem I have is navigation near the cache site. I understand the accuracy limits of civilian GPS but the direction to the cache indicated by the GPS seems vary significantly even before getting that close to the cache.

Did the lastest update and never finished screen says loader loading stayed that way for 4 hrs then the battery went dead,it looks like it is locked up. Best Buy says they will replace it. does anyone know if Garmin will transfer the lifetime updates to the new 1490T

Older Garmin GPS units have adjustable fields on different screens to display info, such as course, speed, eta, time of day, etc. NUVIs don't seem to have a way to change any of the fields on any of the screens. Has anyone heard of a way to do this, or to create completely custom screens with particular fields displayed?

I have a garmin nuvi 500. I'd like to import a saved route from mapmyride to it. The file is a gpx file.

So far I've gotten the computer cable added the micro card and tried to download POI downloader.

At this point I'm stuck.

I have the City & State 2010 Garmin Navigator update. I planned a trip from Denver,CO to McFadden,WY. Admittedly McFadden might be a small place but it is definitely not in CO. Does anyone know why a town, any town, would not chart correctly? I can understand a street but not a town.

Is anyone maintaining the Tim Horton's restaurant POI file?

I ask this question because when I read the description of that file, it says that it includes both the Canadian locations and a number of stores in the US. When I downloaded that file, I can't find any US locations.

Last Thursday night around 10:00pm, when I switch my GPS on, it showed me to be over 1 mile and a half North-East of where I was for about ten minutes. I tried to switch it off and back on, but it insisted that we were elsewhere.

Has anyone used the BlueChart software from Garmin?
I have an eTrex Vista C and would like to use it on my next trip to the British Virgin Islands.
It seems you buy the software, which I would have to download to my computer as the eTrex Vista C has no card slot.
I heard you then have to buy the various maps as well, that they are not included.

after reading a recent article about 2D versus 3D on Gary Hayman's site, I decided to run with the 2D mode for a couple of days to see how I like it.

in doing so, I remembered a "feature" that I believe was introduced with the 7X5 series.

I know it doesn't speak in anyway other than beeps when it's time to turn, but can it really be used as a road navigator in "emergency" or backup situations? Does it give the same quality directions as a Nuvi running the same map? I ask as I have one and was wondering if it would be any good as a road navigator in a pinch should my Nuvi ever die on a long road trip.

I have a nuvi 205W and would like to edit the current.gpx file with EPE to add more info. Most of the favorites have the basic info from when I added them manually and now I would like to go back and add info to the GPX fields that are available.
