Wrong state shown in 2010 Maps

I have the City & State 2010 Garmin Navigator update. I planned a trip from Denver,CO to McFadden,WY. Admittedly McFadden might be a small place but it is definitely not in CO. Does anyone know why a town, any town, would not chart correctly? I can understand a street but not a town.

It's Not CO either

Are you saying your GPS with City Navigator shows a McFadden in CO? In Mapsource, my current and older City Navigators don't show one in CO.

As far as I can tell, McFadden has no post office and is not incorporated. None of my City Navigators can find a McFadden anywhere in the USA: not in WY or CO. City Navigator does show SR13 and a couple unnamed roads/streets in the vincinity of McFadden, but without a name, they won't be seachable or routable.

Given time, especially if McFadden grows, has a post office or businesses, etc., then a future CityNavigator may show it. Otherwise, to route yourself there, you won't be able to use a city or street/road name with your GPS to create a route. You still can create a route to the location by routing to a lat/long coordinate.

Is it a ghost town?

I have CNNANT2010.40 maps and it cannot find any city in its maps named McFadden. It won't even let me enter that name in a city search.

I did find a reference at www.ghosttowns.com/states/wy/mcfadden.html and interestingly, that website says it is between Rock River and Arlington. Well, Arlington, WY is also not in the map database. Some places are just too small.

Bring the issue up to NavTeq

I would bring the issue up to NavTeq.

Mapquest says

According to mapquest if you put in McFadden you come up with 3 of them one in WY,AR,TX. so it does show up in WY,

Ghost Town McFadden, Wyoming

The true Ghost Town of McFadden, Wyoming is isolated on a road less traveled between Rock River and Arlington.

McFadden,WY

Thanks all for the input. I was trying to use the Garmin software program on my computer to create a route to McFadden. I spoke with Nav Tech and they resolved the issue.
