Garmin talk

I would like to know why my garmin 265 will take a different route back to the point that I started from? I would think that the route would be the same. There are no one way streets involved.

After I ahve downloaded three different custom POI's, When I look at the POI's on my Garmin nuvi 285W, I only see a limited number in each file. On the campgrounds file (as in the other two)the one furthest from my home location is only 105 miles away. Two of the files are loaded directly on my nuvi, the other is on a memory card.

Does anyone know when Garmin will release NA 2011.10?

Sorry to start with a request for help, but...

I tried the bluetooth and text message combination on the 660 today, and it indicated that "some phones did not support this feature." have I just missed a setup step somewhere? Getting the text message on the Garmin would be a nice safety item.

There's no indication on the Garmin Webupdater page http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=931
that Win 7 is supported. Is it? How about POI loader and Win 7?

any POI's on all you can eat (sounds like a nice poi) with description all you can eat brazilian bbq or sush for example.. Any ideas?

Ok, I have now driven the Texas 45/130 toll road with my Garmin 1390T on the dash and turned on.

I came home pluged my 1390T into my PC opened Map source and Low and behold there is the route in way points on my Maps in Mapsource.

Does anyone know what the latest maps are, as in year? It's hard to find any info on this from the Garmin site.

I bought a 755T after reading about the touch screen problem. Yes, it did stop after the second letter was pushed, but it did not bother me that much. what bothered me was that when I was driving to a destination it would shut down and then start up. I checked the 12 volt plug and it was pushed in all the way, so was the power plug on the bracket. I called Garmin and spoke to Jeff.

I accidentally deleted my map from my SD card...does anyone know how I can get it back. It is a North America map and a Garmin Travel Guide

Even though Garmin takes map submissions, they can't do anything other than what you do by going straight to NAVTEQ and make your own submission and buy doing so will be faster because the report is instant:

I need to find a way to create a designated route for our MINI Club members to download for their Garmin GPS. We normally just use Google maps but I'd love to find a more precise way to let our drivers know when a turn is coming up on one of our drives.

Is there a way to do this? If so, can someone give me detailed instructions? I have a 1350T to test with.

Just a quick question.
I have installed a garmin 526S in the field for depth surveys of a little harbour in Congo (development cooperation project). People there know how to operate the gps, but not how to transfer to PC or to create gpx files with their tracks.
They propose to send me the userdata folder by e-mail. I have mapsource on my computer in Brussels.

Would like to say Thank you, to the creators of the red light and speed trap POI database. A proximity alert kicked on for the first time for me tonight in Alpharetta GA, I wll be sending a donation when I get home, this weekend.

More missing data from Garmin Maps. I landed at the Atlanta Airport and the Garmin Current map version has no Idea whats going on in Atlanta.

The New car rental center Completed last year does not exist in the current map software, neither does the roads you need to take to get out of the airport and on to Interstate 75 from the airport.

For trail / geocaching use is the "T" version better than the non "T" version. What are the differences in topo vs basemaps.

I'm not able to update maps to my zumo 660 using vista 64 bit, with the amd chip. I can down load the map file but after extration I get an error message when trying to connect to garmin. (Don't know if that is the gps or the garmin web site). Updates work fine on another computer running XP. Any suggestions welcome.

Can you tell me the downsides of this Garmin model. I'm thinking of picking up a second unit (my first is a 350) for my better half's use. I know it doesn't have a mp3 player. I assume it can have an extra card for poi's. Anyway, what are the problems with it?
