Newbie question (how do I use Costco POI)

OK, I've downloaded, say, the Costco locations POI and it's on my Garmin 755t. Now, how do I use it. If I want to see if there is a Costco nearby when I'm 3 states away from home, exactly what do I do. (Told you I was a newbie!)

Upload Order Is Irrelevent

The Garmin orders nearby points of interest based on line-of-sight distance. (Has to be a pure mapping function... calculating distances by finding the differences in latitude and longitude between your locaction and the POI list).

So whenever you ask for a search, it brings the results up in that order, distance - ascending.

Which of course is convenient... if you need gas, you don't want to be scrolling through all of the Alabama stations first... as that would be very irritating in Wyoming.

The same is true for your Costco fix.

As Charles points out, you can also ask for another area by selecting spot along your route. Handy for preplanning rest stops and eateries.

BTW (he said noob so...)

Those are menu icons and choices to press except the last one... which you type in using the keyboard. And only the first word... "Costco"
