I love my Garmin.

Don't hear "I love my Garmin" much at all any more.

Anyone love their Garmin and what model is it if you do?

I LOVE my Garmin nuvi 780! It guides me to where I want to go and back with Australian Karen's help.

750 & 765

Both are great, got us spoiled.

I have

I have 4 Nuvi's and I like them all but I LOVE my new 3790T. It's going to do more for handheld automotive GPS's than the Nuvi 350 did 5 years ago.

Love my streetpilot c580

I have had my c580 for over three years and it works as well as it did new. I just got back from a trip from Corona California to Flint Michigan and never had a problem finding any location. It found all the places I needed to go. I have msn traffic, I do not find that it is very helpful, I like the gas station portion, it came in nice. When every it gives up, I will purchase another garmin, only one smaller with a larger screen.

Shortly after I got my 750, I took a trip with a friend who had a c580. We decided to fire up both units for the trip, and see how they compared. The 750 would warn you about an upcoming turn slightly before the c580 did, and it has street names, but otherwise their performance was identical. Same routes, same detours, the c580 is still a decent unit.

265wt

I love my 265wt most of the time.

265WT

I love my Garmin (like I read on this site before), I couldn't navigate my way out of a phonebooth. 265WT saved my bacon many times LOL.

I love how the garmin is

I love how the garmin is portable so it can be carried with you anywhere...

660

I love my 660. grin

Considering its age, I'm expecting the battery to give out any time now. When it does, I'll buy a replacement battery and install it as discussed in many topics here.

It does everything I need.

C550

I am fond of my C550. My 765T is another story. I like the features but the bugs drive me crazy. Six months since 3.90 was released and no fixes in sight. My C550 has been rock solid.

love mine

I have several different types as listed on my signature box and not listed. The garmin is my favorite!

I love my Garmin C530 and my Garmin 1490T>>>

as long as the traffic is turned off on the 1490T...those ads are annoying...I use the traffic feature sparingly anyway...it is highly inaccurate, in the Philadephia area at least...something on the order of 1/10.

Otherwise the 1490T with the wide screen better speaker GREAT graphics...is a totally worthwhile purchase!

"You can't get there from here"

Never travel without one.

My Nuvi 260 is great. I love the freedom it provides from printed maps (which I am terrible at reading while driving, and my wife isn't the best navigator). I used it for the first time on a long vacation this past spring and I would never want to take another trip without one. It used to be that we'd watch billboards for a place to stop and eat, then finally settle for a restaurant we never really wanted, but we didn't want to wait anymore. With the garmin, we could see everything along our route and plan accordingly. It made for a much nicer trip.

Still Love Them

I still love my 750 and 755T. They are used everyday. I only wish Garmin would increase their quality control on software and maps. Noticed yesterday that if you zoom in mapsource to the 1 mile scale at DFW airport the map is a blank square. Found this in a couple of other location also. On older versions of the sofware the area was no blank areas. Seems they fix or change items and in the process break something else.

Nuvi 750 and 755T

255W

I've had my unit almost 18 months and can honestly say that it's reliable and works very well. I wouldn't hesitate a second in recommending this particular model.

I think what I appreciate the most though is the fact that it can use multiple via points which is a great feature when going on long trips.

Of course I also really enjoy tinkering with it (modifying voices, create splash screens, add POI's with icons etc).

I've have learned a great deal over time and never thought that the GPS my girlfriend bought for me at christmas would become a hobby with time. mrgreen

I love my 200W. I have to

I love my 200W.

I have to admit, I like the 265W I got for my roommate, simply because of the speed limit display and how quickly the screen redraws compared to my 200W. But there are three things about my 200W that I like better.

*Cross streets in the banner bar.
*Larger car that is easier to see.
*Higher maximum zoom (@50 feet versus 80 feet on the 265W).

I don't like Garmin Mobile XT as much as I should, but only because the brain trust that made my phone skimped on both the processor and program memory. The program itself works, but on my phone it redraws really slow, and has actually crashed so badly that in order to use it again I had to hard reset the phone.

I have a Nuvi 680 and bought it when it first came out. It is still working perfectly and now my daughter uses it. Love the unit. I now use a Nuvi 1690 and I have had no problems at all. I love this unit as well.

OK.....so where the heck am I?

I do

I love my Garmin 265WT. Been users of Magellan, started at the $800 Roadmate 700 way back. It is still working. But Garmin seems to know what I want and when I want certain features much better.

My GPS 855

I love my 855. It has everything that I need plus some. I like the Voic Recongnition since I bought a microphone for it. No more punching for commands now I tell it where to go.

The street pilot series was Garmins most successful units to date, then they made the horrific mistake and created the Nuvi's and have had problems ever since.
The C5xx is very rock sold to this day as you said. Anyone saying any different, just doesn't now any better.

Nuvi 755T

Love the Garmin Nuvi 755T. The Lane Assist feature is great as well as the Traffic Update. We have been vacationing in the Twin Cities area and there have been quite a few highway construction work areas and the Nuvi 755T has show all of these and has been very reliable as to the where the delays are and the approximate time involved. The Lane Assist feature has been very helpful as well. I was wondering though if anybody knows if the Lane Assist feature works in 2D mode or if it will only work in 3D mode.

Love my 765T

I have a NUVI 765T, but also a C330 StreetPilot, whose battery, unfortunately, has given up the ghost. It still works very well, as long as It's plugged in. My 765T is a super unit, which, by the way, I received about a year ago, 2 days before the bad firmware issue popped up. I did not activate it until a week later, and have had no problems since.

I Tolerate My Garmin

I tolerate the glitches and software bugs because there are Topo maps out there for free.

If someone made a slightly better product, that didn't use their customers as beta testers, I would desert Garmin in a heartbeat.

If you ain't got pictures, I wasn't there.

Still love it.

If you've ever read any of my posts, you'll know that I've had my fair share of problems with my 765 but it ultimately gets me where I need to go & is easy to use. At some point it will be handed down to my son when I decide to get another unit, which will be a Garmin.

I haven't had any trouble with my 1450. The 1490t is also nice, but I didn't want Bluetooth or ad-supported traffic updates. It cost less, too. That's always nice. mrgreen

I really love my new Nuvi 1390t.

Garmin nuvi 205W

I bought my Nuvi 205W about 2 years ago during a business trip to Florida - got lost, and needed help.

It has been just fine except lately the restaurants and motels have disappeared or changed names, so I bought a numaps lifetime card. Headaches!!!

After many tries, I got as far as the download phase. Then it asked me to plug in the "device" with a USB Cable. No problem, I just disconnected one of my expertan hard drive usb cables - same plug as the "device", and plugged in. Thing said "NO DEVICE DETECTED, TRY AGAIN". Tried and tried, still would not recognize my Garmin device. Even tried another of my expernal hard drive cables - same story "NO DEVICE DETECTED - TRY AGAIN". Tried and tried. Each time I connected it up, it powered up the "device", but the "Communicator" still would not detect it.
I'm about to give it up, and just plug alongf with the old maps. After all, what's another hundred bucks down the drain ?

Actually I love my 660

Though I complain, it's because I want it 100% perfect. I still love my 660.

Compared to where it was when I first got it....
It's miles better..... And that is thanks to posts and POI's Here!

A 2689LMT in both our cars that we love... and a Nuvi 660 with Lifetime Maps that we have had literally forever.... And a 2011 Ford Escape with Nav System that is totally ignored!

best for my money, nuvi 265T

Ok so maybe I don't love it, but my Nuvi 265T gives me the most bang for the buck of the half dozen gps's I've owned over the years. The Gpsmap 76csx has gotten me home by boat, car, motorcycle and while hiking but the nuvi costs the least, requires the least attention and usually does exactly what's required.

I love mine(s)...

Not as much as I used too.

Not as much as I used too.

Like my 760! Hate Garmin!

I still have my 760 at firmware version 3.00. It works well. Latest version is 4.90, but there are too many new bugs. I cannot risk an upgrade because there is no coming back.

I would love to have a 765, but again too many bugs especially when entering an address.

I am thinking of upgrading, but with all the bug reports I hear from everyone, my best choice is to stick with my 760. Garmin should stop introducing so many new models and start making good firmware.

My two cents...

855

just completed a 1000 mile road trip into North Texas. Garmin worked perfect and with the help of these many POI files, made it a very easy trip. Always knowing where the nears Exxon/Mobil is, where the next DQ is, Texas Monthly BBQ or Hamburgers. Made it so I didn't have to guess. Also, the POI files are kept more current and are more complete than those that are built in (even when the unit and maps are brand new).

Thank you Garmin and thank you POI factory.
