I did a surch before I posted and just did another one. Garmin Mobile XT was in there but I have not been able to find any help on the Garmin Mobile Pc software.

I have it and have used it on a Samsung Q1 UMPC which is a small Windows XP based PC with a 7" touch screen. It works fine with a Microsoft GPS receiver puck I got when I got Microsoft streets and trips. The puck is a USB connected 1-1/2" square device placed on the dash. I have a windshield mount which is OK in our Ford Freestar but is rather too large for a small auto.

It works OK but the interface is not as easy as my Garmin 880 or the older Garmin 680. The maps look a bit crude compared to the 880's or the ones with MS Streets and Trips.

I haven't figured out how to install custom POI data so it doesn't get much use.

I don't think it would be easy to use on a laptop in a car.

Thanks for all the information. I do love using my extra POIs that I make and get from this site. I think I will just stay with my Nuvi 750 for now.
