Just bought Nuvi 465t...

I just bought a 465t and was wondering if someone could help me put my saved poi's from my 350 on the 465t? I have over 250 saved poi's I would like to transfer to the 465t, so any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about custom

Are you talking about custom pois or favorites?

I know my answer is not what you are looking for, (eek) but...It it is a given that most POIs change over time. I would simply just start over. Least that is what I do. Just use POIloader and get them here.

Unless you are the lead sled dog, the view never changes. I is retard... every day is Saturday! I still use the Garmin 3590 LMT even tho I upgraded to the Garmin 61 LMT. Bigger screen is not always better in my opinion.

It's easy

Hook up your 350 to your computer... go to the drive that represents it on your computer - find a file called current.gpx and copy to your computer - disconnect the 350, hook up the 465t, and put the current.gpx file on the 465t - follow the same directory/path from the 350 to the 465t.

EPE

Use EPE to open your Faves, and then save as a gpx on the computer. Transfer, and done.

one step was missed...

One step was missed...after copying current.gpx to the gpx folder, you have to rename it on the nuvi (that you just copied it to) to something *other than* current.gpx, like current01.gpx or temp.gpx (the .gpx has to stay the same).

Current.gpx is an output file generated by the nuvi on every power cycle. The only way for the nuvi to read the gpx file containing the favorites is to rename it to something other than current.gpx

Just follow what DorkusNimrod posted and it will work.

A little off the subject but keep in mind your 465 will not play mp3 like the 350.So if you use voice alerts you will need to use wav files and sox.exe for custom pois.

EPE

Extra POI Editor. Get it here: http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor#toc5

From our own TurboCCC, nonetheless. A great program!

IMO, the file copy with the rename from old GPS to new GPS as mentioned above works just fine. EPE is great but if all you want to do is copy favorites from one unit to another, the file copy works if done correctly.

Thank you, DN. I was thinking of adding it to Faves on the SD card, as I do for a back-up file.

Would Mapsource work?

Connect the 350, transfer waypoints to Mapsource, then connect the 465t to the pc. Then transfer the waypoints to the 465.
