does anyone know if the lg 9800 is compatible with the garmin 660 as I am looking to buy the garmin unit?

I am trying to find the proximity alerts on my garmin nuvi 200 do I have them? I have custom poi's that I downloaded from here and do they show up on my map when I drive close to those areas and does an icon show up how can I do this on the gps nuvi 200 frustrated...

I just bough my nuvi 200 love it! but trying to get alert poi's on my maps so when I approach a starbucks in the area or another poi it can notify me...how do I do this? and will the bitmaps show up on the maps when I approach around them? any help is appreciated!

I just noticed tonight while driving at night I have
2 dots pinpoint very small on my screen that do not
move. I think they are green and blue. Should i return
the unit and exchange it? Its only a couple of weeks
old and I really like it.

I have a Street Pilot c340. I really liked the POI for the rest areas here, as it is much more useful to me to have the route the rest area is on in a list box, rather than a nearby town listed (like in the default rest areas) and not be sure if the rest area is on my side of the interstate.

The latest Map from Garmin (2008) still has a lot of Streets and Highway exits not listed, even so, they are already 10 years old. Why can't they have accurate maps like Google or Expedia.com or Mapquest???

Could someone share information with me about Custom POI's on a Nuvi?

Recently, I purchase a Nuvi 650. I created some custom POI's and associated icons. When driving about locally, the icons do not appear automatically on the map.

On the Nuvi, when I select "Custom POI", then a single location, and then "Map", the single POI and icon will appear.

Folks, I would like to put all my downloaded POIs into some sort of order. Right now, the separate files are all under Custom POIs. But....I would like them in "sub-folders"....i.e., under Custom POIs, I would like to see Food, Attractions, etc....click on Food, and then I see all the separate POI files (Skyline Chili, Bob Evans, etc).

I recently downloaded some additional POI's and was wondering if there's a way to set proximity alerts for some POI's and have it turned off for others. I have some POI's that I use when traveling to certain areas and some, like the red light cameras, that I use all the time.

Car dealers are introducing "On Star" turn by turn navigation built in with the car system specially on GMC, is it much reliable compared to our GPS units?

Is it VHF? I live up on the hill, and I have to drive 2 miles down to get reception.
With the FM TMC on the 660, it never is an issue.

Anyone have similar experience?

Hello everyone…. I am a new member here with a Nuvi 660, (2 weeks ownership). I love the unit and is a great upgrade from my Lowrance 350c…. I am having fun with the POI’s…. I downloaded the camera warning POI’s and it works great. Howerver I am getting warning notification from my Nuvi, 4 blocks from the intersections where the cameras are.. Any help on this would be great...

My best friend just called me because he was at a Costco store today and found that they are selling the Garmin Nuvi 680 for $480!

On occasion I get the "a better route is available" audible prompt on my c340.

I never see any way to select the better route.

I emailed Garmin, and the tech replied that a message
box should appear (like the low battery message) to give me the option to select the better route, or to
keep using the original route.

However, that doesn't seem to happen: no message box appears.

Does anyone has a Male Voice for the Nuvi 200. Can you share the file. Thanks.
