My wife and I are leaving in a little while for a trip to CA. The nuvi 350 is going to be carried on for the flight, then immediately unpacked for the rental car. Instead of taking all of the cables, I simply pack:

Nuvi USB cable
USB-DC car charger adapter for iPod - $5 at wal-mart
DC-AC wall charger adapter - $5 at wal-mart

I have found a POI file on here that I would like to download but I am given 4 options on what type to download. I am not sure which on to download. can some one help?

here is an example...

GPX - with Garmin extension (phone dial support)
Garmin CSV - regular line breaks
Garmin CSV - nuvi 350/360 line breaks
Garmin CSV - no line breaks (easier to import)

I just got my nuvi 680 and am sort of new to this. I've a question regarding installing custom POIs. If i have two custom poi files, and coincidentally each files contain a poi that has exactly the same name and coordinates....so will one overide the other or they both will show up on the gps screen? Hope this makes sense.

Can some one download a better voice with TTS for Nuvi760? The quality of sound for TTS voices in the unit is so bad, not like the standard American English one.

Just got a 680 delivered today. MSN setup and all is fine and data is building up slowly.
Question is this, when I am driving to a destination, under the + sign on the map, there is a little icon with clouds and flames (sort of). When I click on it, it says "no matches found".
What the hell is that icon do?

I just want to confirm that there is a maximum number of rows (per single CSV file) POILoader can load, I tried to load 2300+ (ALL starbucks in CA), but POILoad keeps saying it can only load certain number of records. Thanks!

the other day i was using my Nuvi 360 to get to a wedding and noticed i needed some gas so i did a search for near by gas stations while i was still on route to the wedding, anyways after i did that the GPS showed 2 purple route lines which i thought was a bit confusing and i have never seen this before.... is this normal?

I love it when I get a good deal. There's a typical gas war going on in Albuquerque and my MSN Direct Services on the nuvi 680 caught it. How about a .32 savings per galloon between gas stations that were less than a quarter mile apart?

Have seen a few posts here about cases for the Nuvi wide screens. well I have been looking at getting some kind of case for my 200w. I got to lookin' around the house to see if we had any case that would fit the 200w, found a few that fit OK but I found that any case for a Dell Axim 51/51v fit the 200w like a glove.

Just thought I would pass this along.

Does Nuvi760 speaks the names of the roads when navigation?

Hi, i still receipt my new unit nuvi 760, i wish know the differences betwen nuvi 760, 680 and 670, and what is newest, what is the best, thankssssssssss.

I was driving around today and was playing music off the 1GB SD I had loaded up with my favorite songs. It works really well using the FM transmitter feature.

I have a nuvi 660. I loaded School Zone poi with .bmp and mp3 (for voice alert) files using poi loader in it.

When I reach near a school zone, it alerts me by showing it on the screen. But no voice alert, although I have uploaded mp3 file for voice alert.

Does anyone has solution for this.

Hello, everyone. I was just wondering if the Nuvi 650 (my first GPS unit) displays POIs on the map while navigating. I can only seem to go to the "Where To?" section and look at the POIS this way (names of the restaraunts that I must scroll through). I am able to pick a restaurant for instance, and get directions to it, but I am unable to see all the restaurants in the area on the map.

Has anyone ever had a problem with the folding antenna on a Nüvi breaking or wearing out over time from repeated opening and closing? Just wondering about the moving parts and electrical connections since I've had folding cell phone hinge problems over the years.

On the Garmin 660 it is easy to add thousands of poi to an sd card and import into the Garmin.
I have worked on a spread sheet that imports the route i am taking on a trip like from Chattanooga to Atlanta .

In a Nuvi 350,

How many lines can be displayed in a POI?
And how many characters per line?
