I purchased the europe maps and checked to see how far it is to rome italy from my house in ohio. My garmin 680 came up with the message: Route calculation error: not enough memory available. Is this because I am in ohio and it would have to draw many turns and streetsand a boat ride) to get me there from here. If I was in italy would I get the same message?

This is a long shot but I hope somebody has a clue on this.

So my dad said that he wants to get a GPS but he doesn't really understand English, so I thought about giving him my current Garmin. It already has the Chinese GUI and a basic Cantonese voice but he wants it to say the street names too. Is there a Cantonese TTS voice that's compatible with the Garmin?

I have a 2595LMT. I can't find in the manual what is Auto Sort Multiple Destinations is.

I just got myself a Nuvi 3590 to replace my old but trusty 255w. Of course the first thing I proceeded to do was create me a nice fresh back up. I've done that with my 255w many many times, straight forward, show all / hidden / system files... Copy & paste. No problems.

I try to load the POI into my GPS but I am not sure which file should I need to load. Should I load the poi, picture and sound at the same time into GPS?

I tried a search for Etrex 30, but it gave me EVERY post with Etrex in it, PLUS EVERY post with 30 in it!

So my question -- what's the opinions on these two models? Is it worth having GLONASS added? How is accuracy? What about Geocaching?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on one or the other.

In a Garmin 2300 I copies several POI collections (.GPI) I created with POILoader. In the GPS the categories are not in any apparent order. Maybe date created. How can I get them into alphabetic order?

I don't see much postings for the Garmin 1400 series. Are they phased out as yet?

I remember there is a software that you can use to change the text on Garmin (that what I did on my Garmin). You can change whatever to make it says what you wanted. Now, I just got a new 5" Garmin and want to restate the 205W back to its original before sell it. However, I can't remember the name of software. Checked through my computer was no helps. IIRC, I download from members here.

I bought a Garmin 2595LMT today. I am downloading the map right now. Will be using it on a trip to Argyle,Tx tomorrow. So far, the only thing that I see that I am not fond of is that the power cable has to be attached to the gps instead of the bracket, like I am use to with the 3790LMT and the855.

Just aquired a 1390LMT and after the map upgrade, I find that there is very little memory space on this unit I have already deleted all unused voices but there is still not much space. Any hints?

I just got off the phone with Garmin support asking if my Nuvi 1390LMT supports mp3 files. I was asking because of the use of mp3 files in both the GPX-type POI files and the third party voice files for POI alerts.

The tech told me that few Garmin units any longer support mp3 files and therefore custom POI alert voices must be in WAV format.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 3490 LMT and am interested in some of the CSV files on this site but I don't know what to do with them. I downloaded them to my computer but can't open them except for in my notepad. Is it possible to put these files onto our Garmin or is that what they are for. We are new to the Garmin scene and how to put new maps etc.

On my 1450 LMT I have the USA maps in the device. I also have the European maps on a micro sd card.

Anyone notice any problems with their GPS units in the last two weeks with the Solar Flares ?

I’m getting ready to retire my wonderful NUVI 660 and I am considering either the NUVI 465LMT or Garmin’s dezl 560LMT, I drive a charter bus and want a GPS geared more for commercial drivers. I would like to be able to enter the height and length of the bus I am driving for that trip. We run from Fl to Canada, NY, DC, Chicago and Texas.
