Garmin talk

Hello, 2 questions:
1) Is there any way to remove the CUSTOM Pois directly from the Garmin device, without having to go to Poi Loader ?. My device is Nuvi 765t.
2) Is there some Garmin model that allows deleting custom pois from the device?

Why can´t I download EPE files and get work? Some with the same problems. I am using a PC and Win7.

When I have my new Garmin nuvi 2689LMT connected to my PC (Windows 7), there is no "Safely Disconnect" icon in the system tray, and no "eject" option in "my computer". Each time, I have had to just unplug the USB. This makes me quite concerned that data from the nuvi might be lost or corrupted, but I have no idea how to resolve the issue.

Just purchased factory refurbished Nuvi 2599LMT. Have yet to check what mapset version is installed but I'm guessing update might be in order.

I just bought a RV760 and transferred files from my old Nuvi750 using Garmin Express. Where are the routes located on the 760 (assuming they were transferred)?

Ok, I'll admit the old 2460 is getting a little dated, but up until my last trip, it has served me well. While coming through Chatanooga, the unit just "locked up " and would not update. I finally powered it down, and then it would not power back up. After several attempts to restart the unit, I just powered it off.

HI, This is my first post so please excuse me if I sound too ignorant. I have loaded many POI's in my Nuvi-2597 but am not sure how to have them either show up on the screen as I ride and view the map (if possible) and also to have them alert me when one is in a predetermined area.

Does anyone have any experience maintaining a GPS unit that is built into a vehicle? How does it differ from the process I now use to update the maps, software, etc. on my standalone unit? Do they come with lifetime map updates and such?

Hi everyone i have been trying for a few weeks now to load the new map on my Garmin nuvi 660 without any success. I have the 2017 map and would like to load it on my sd card, when i copy it on the sd card in the garmin folder and load it into my nuvi it boots up after it displays loading maps a bar shows up but it does not completely load then it switches to the dashboard.

I'd like to upgrade from my Nuvi 1490LMT. I've seen some excellent pricing on factory refurbished Nuvi 2599LMT and 2699LMT.

Looking for comments / advice on these units...I know difference between two models is the screen size 5 vs 6".

I recently asked this forum about using a USB port in my car to power and charge my Nuvi. I received the following from Garmin support. It seems like the definitive answer from the source and I thought it might help others.

I have a Nuvi52lm and I have two and one half questions:

1. Is it possible to charge or power this unit with the included USB cord in my car. My car has a USB port that I power my iPhone with; is it possible to do the same to the Nuvi?

I know that the Garmin DriveLuxe 50LMTHD isn't available just yet, but I am starting to get interested in it. I currently have a Garmin Nuvi 3597. One of the first questions in my mind is how the two differ from one another. GPS City has a post that answers that very question.

Is anybody here planning on getting one? If so, what features interest you?

trying to put the new paula deen family restaurant in my garmin but it doesn't find it by restaurants or specific address . its 131 the island dr suite #8101 pigeon forge tn 37863 . what could I be doing wrong ?

I have been loading my custom points into my Nuvi 2595 since I first owned it and I was able to import any of these points into a route.

Received an email from Garmin 30 minutes ago that said my RMA replacement is on the way and listed a tracking number. Hmm, that's interesting because I don't have any open RMAs. Looked at the tracking info and see it was for my RMA back in August. Wonder if anyone else got bogus RMA emails. This is what I call a proactive company
