So I just came back from a trip to Long Island from MA. I hate driving route 95, so I always want to take the parkways. But I also want a reminder for the turn, so with my nuvi 350, I have to put in a waypoint.

How do you find that waypoint?

Well, you can do it by looking at the map, and then clicking on an area, but I find that cumbersome. You have to find the road you want visually.

My wife had my Nuvi 760 and has Onstar (personal calling). Anyways, I called her and was talking and she told me the Nuvi went bonkers... I have the TourGuide setup with alerts and the alert was going sounding over and over.. I relegated to a conflict with frequencies...

I called her on the cell phone while the NUVI was on and all was fine.. Thoughts?

I hate to buy yet another GPS but for critical navigation in our RV (diesel truck and 26 ft 5th whl) but our Nuvi 760 does not seem to support nRoute. we use a laptop with a large screen that enables us to more easily see the exits.

My Nuvi 360 always takes me the really long way to get on a certain freeway by my house. The problem is that it gets confusing as it makes me get on another freeway before getting on the freeway I want.

Is there a way to program it so my shorter, better route comes up instead when accessing this freeway?

I have found quite a few of Garmin's POI's that were bad.
A Starbucks in a residential house??
Business' that have been gone for years!

Is there any way that I can delete them one by one, or change the information to reflect the proper location?

so i finally know how to put sounds in my garmin 760 this may sound like a stupid question but how does it work when i pass by a starbucks it will know i'm passing one?

I've just gotten this unit and cannot find any info on how many POI are loaded.

My better half was skeptical of the purchase, but she is now on a trip with her mother and took it with her -- I am missing my wife, but I really need Jill back!

I have been unable to get my Garmin nRoute Program to see our new 760. Am I doing something wrong, or is nRoute not supported in the 760?

Weird thing happened today with my Nuvi 350. I had my Nuvi set to take me home when I noticed I needed gas. So I found a gas station with the Nuvi and set it as a Via Point. It brought me to the gas station and afterwords continued to my original POI (Home).

My Nuvi 680 had maps and POI'S accidentally deleted, how do I fix it?

Nuvi 300/350 (WebUpdater) software version 5.60 just showed up today.

Changes made from version 5.50 to 5.60:
*Fixed issue where fleet management interface messages can get stuck in the outbox
*Improve handling of the situation where overlapping map data is present on the device.

Still didn't fix the linebreak problem. Garmin really got on top of that ... they've known about the problem over a year and a half, still nothing done!

it seems that the voice prompt is a bit late (garmin 350), sometimes too late. wonder if there's way we could change the timing of the prompt. or do we have to get used to it? Thanks in advance.

When I checked for current updates today, I found the update was for fleet management tracking. I looked it up http://www8.garmin.com/pressroom/corporate/021207.html and found that GPS units apparently CAN be tracked with some help.

Taken from the web description: "tracking the location of their drivers and vehicles" with the addition of GPS-Buddy and Beacon Wireless.

Has anyone put a Washington Mutual POI together for Illinois?

Got a new Nuvi 760. I like it except that the poor FM transmitter. It's almost useless in a big city like Los Angeles. Anyway it came with 2008 US map pre-installed and I saw that they have 2009 update on their site. Do I have a free update or do I have to pay to get the update?

Also, is it possible to import my favorites from my old nuvi 350 to Nuvi 760? How do I do it?

I was wondering because, while reporting a bad POI, I saw this on the Navteq website: "NAVTEQ releases navigation data up to four times a year to a wide range of navigation system manufacturers and vendors. Because of the time required to process the data, there is a lag between making an addition to the database and seeing that change reflected in a navigation system.

since my update software ver 3.10 , my 760 locks up at times after speaking turn directions.
anyone have this problem ?

My daughter wanted to use her 260W so I took it outside to acquire satellites and I was out there for 15 plus minutes and nothing happened.. I was in an open sky area and everything... Any suggestions?

Is anyone having problems with this most recent update? I just updated my 760 from 3.0 to 3.10 but have not tested it yet? If there is a probelm with 3.10 how do you go back to 3.0?
