Nuvi 880 what makes it different?

Right now, I'm trying to find a good mount for the car, but the 880 is not listed in sellers' descriptions.
I want a vent mount, preferably removable, since I won't leave the 880 in the car during summer down south, or during winter up north. I simply refuse to use the suction mount, but ordered from Garmin a beanbag mount which showed compatable with the 880.

The list of TourGuides on Garmin website does not indicate that the 880 is compatable. Would there be any off-the-shelf Tourguides that I could buy, or should I plan on editing some for myself---if the format is acceptable?

And, the SD card. Are all SD slots the same? The biggest capacity Garmin sold was 512mb,the cost was exhorbitant and the delivery was something like 2-4 WEEKS.

The 880 is extremely slim and I like that. I have the remote control button to secure to the steering wheel which allows me to put the 880 into spoken command mode. It hears me well in the house, but I haven't tried it in the car yet. It pairs nicely with my Blackberry 8300 Bluetooth.

Anyone else with the 880 further along on the learning curve than I am? I am fascinated with the possibilities this unit presents, but thank HEAVEN I found POIfactory!

Keep us posted on the 880. I wish I could afford one!

I think the beanbag mount will be great. I have one with my 760. I got the Navmat which was $29 at Wal-Mart. It has done a great job for me thus far.

In my household, I am the gadget nut, and love those toys. I chose the 880 for my anniversary present!

The suction cup which came with the 880 I am using in the house in a north-facing window to help it read satellites. It is plugged into the 12-volt cigarette lighter cord (has the MSNDirect antenna built into it), and I have a 110-to-cigplug adaptor to make it work inside. I don't guess I need a regular 110 power cord, because it would not give access to MSNDirect updates.

It was pricey. But I am trying to find other owners with wider experience using other models, who know if the 880 is similar in functionality to theirs. Sooner or later, the price will come down, and maybe it won't be discontinued too quickly.
