Hi marcmorano1,

Make sure your .mp3 alerts, contain the "same file name" as your custom POI.

For example if you have a custom POI named "my_places.csv" then all associated files, "must" have the same file name, in order to work "in conjunction" with that specific custom POI.

Correct:
my_places.csv
my_places.mp3
my_places.bmp

Incorrect:
my_places.csv
eagles.mp3
scenic.bmp

Keep all of your custom POI's and associated files (.mp3 & .bmp) "in the same folder". Then, when running the Poi Loader, just point the application to that folder and you're good to go...

HTH (hope that helps)

If you have all your poi files ready to load to the gps just hook up gps to computer run poiloader in the manual mode and set the distance you want the alerts to work at.If you have redlight and speed alerts they will not need to be manually set.The work redlight and speed will give you automatic alert of 1/4 mile.

If the file name contains "redlight", POI Loader assumes all records in the file have proximity alerts with a distance of 400m/0.25 miles.

If a file contains "GATSO," "mobile," "SPECS," "safety," "speed," or "camera," but does not have a speed, POI Loader uses a default alert speed of 0, which means you will always be alerted. You can override this default value by entering the speed in Manual mode.

You can also enter speeds for each POI individually by adding the @ symbol and a number after the name of the POI. For example, a Custom POI named "Ridgeview@25" would create a POI named "Ridgeview" with a 25 mph speed alert.
