After I loaded Poi to my gps, working seems to me only red-light cameras. When I passing a Home Depot, Best Buy or other, I cannot see them on display, as I can see red-light cameras. However all files were downloaded to poi folder and rename the same:
1)Folder (HOME_DEPOT)
2)CSV files (HOME_DEPOT)
3)Icon (HOME_DEPOT)
4)Voice alert (HOME_DEPOT)
All this I install to poi file. Why Garmin does not show and announce them?
You have to set alerts manually

All of the pois need to be in the same folder.
Edti:
folder:My pois
red-light.csv
red-light.mp3
SubFolder Home Depot
home depot.csv
home depot.bmp
home depot.mp3
, etc. You don't have to have the subfolder, but if the redlight poi isn't in the folder with the home depot poi they won't both load.
The red-light poi will give alerts because the word "red-light" is in the name. The home depot poi will have to have it's alert set by using the manual install feature in the poi loader...

same problem
Thanks, I have done everything what you sagest, but still I can see only red light cameras. Maybe there is something else I did not do.
Are the poi's listed in custom pois?

Have you looked in your custom pois to see if they loaded? Click on Where to>Extras>Custom pois. You should see Redlight-cameras & Best_Buy_Us.... Do you? If so select one of the Best Buys and then select map. That should display a Best Buy, Does it?

Yes they are loaded, my question is if I will see them on the screen when I am driving.

Hi Simon,
It's actually very simple. Create and name a Poi folder on your hard drive. For argument sake call it, let's say, "My POI's" (without the quotes). Now put "all" of your poi files, as well as their associated files (.mp3 and .bmp) into that ("My Poi") folder.
Let me say that category sub-folders aren't necessary, however, it allows you the ability to put similar poi's, in their own folder.
For example: Inside your main folder "My Poi's" you can have sub-folders with similar categories of poi files, in each separate sub-folder.
You can have as many sub-folders inside your main "My poi" folder to organize your poi's into categories, however, you cannot have a sub-folder within a sub-folder..
Now, as in this example, when you fire up your POI Loader, point it to the "My Poi" folder, containing your poi files and sub-folders. You can then choose "Express" or "Manual" to load your poi's. Choosing "Manual" will allow you to set distance alerts on any, or all, of your poi's.
HTH (hope that helps)

Set folders up like this.
>Main folder= My pois
>>Subfolder=Hardware
>>>Home depot.csv
>>>Home depot.bmp
>>>Home depot.mp3
>>Subfolder=electronics
>>>Best buy.csv
>>>Best buy.bmp
>>>Best buy.mp3
>>Subfolder =alerts
>>>redlight cameras.csv
>>>redlight cameras.bmp
>>>redlight cameras.mp3
>>>speed cameras.csv
>>>speed cameras.bmp
>>>speed cameras.mp3
Now hook up gps to computer and run the poiloader.Direct poiloader to the main folder(My pois) and select the manual mode and set the distance you want the alert to sound. The redlight and speed cameras are set for 1/4 mile because redlight and speed is in the title of the csv file. You can change that in the manual mode.
To see the icons you will need to zoom in on the map or go to 2d map view.

Hi charlesd45,
No problem whatsoever. If we can help Simon with his problem,
and put him on the right track, then we've done our job...

You should be able to see them
Yes they are loaded, my question is if I will see them on the screen when I am driving.
If when you access them in your unit and can see them there, then they should appear when you are driving or simulating a route...

You are going to have to zoom in on the map very close to see them. You can also try to set your map detail to more or most.
