I know the site members have came up with several ideas to keep from having to update certain custom pois every time they run the poiloader.Other methods include adding key words and speeds to the title as listed in Poiloader help.I contacted Garmin to suggest since you can add key words and speed to a title and still use the express mode .Why couldn't a key word be associated to add miles to cust

I must be missing something. From reading the posts here, I was under the impression that EasyGPS was similar to Mapsource in capabilities, but apparently much easier to use.

I have Mapsource, and it shows maps with POI's, routes etc., and the streets.

Unsure if this is a setting or not but on my old nuvi 760 in View Map mode it would show the upcoming streets as you were driving in the header.

On the 765T it just shows driving on "street name" on the header. Not changing to show upcoming street. I kinda liked this option.

I've got a question regarding Garmin Nuvi low cost model such as the Nuvi 200W which is price about $120 vs other Nuvi models which cost about $500 or more.
The high cost models, besides all other whistles and bells such as the MP3 player, FM traffic receiver, XM radio etc.....

I have Nuvi 350. Do you know approximately how my favorites this unit holds? If it is not very many then are there any tricks for holding more?

With the price of nuvi's going down so fast I have a question for the learned members of POI Factory.

If I buy a nuvi 250 for say around $100.00 new or used with 2008 maps will Garmin allow a free 2009 map update? If so,then, once downloaded can I put the map on my nuvi 750 instead of the nuvi 250? That way I get a map upgrade for the 750 and get a second nuvi for my wife at almost no cost.

I have the nuvi 255w and would like to use a wall (ac) charger for my unit but cannot find the required voltage. I have a cell phone charger that puts out 5.0v and want to know if this would work. Have checked garmin website and owners manuals neither lists required voltage.

The POI icons on Garmin units I think is too small to see..why can't they make them like the other's?

i was editing a school zone poi and was adding some schools in my town and found a school that has been there for all most 10 years and it is not on the map the school is topaz Elementary school N34 25.981 W117 21.299 Is there a way to call garmin to add the school

Does that feature cause more problems for TomTom users???

I'm fairly new to GPS, and very new to this board, but I've found something interesting with my Nuvi 760, and see no mention of it on the forums (however, it probably is and I just couldn't find it. If so, sorry.).

Long story short, I had a Nuvi 680 and got a 760. What I missed was the satalite acquisition screen. It wasn't in the manual.

I have a certain route I like from home to Phoenix. My 660 doesn't like some of the way I go. Last year when it was new and so was I, it took all the way from Wichita to the OK border before it believed I wasn't going to do a U turn and take KS -54 going to Tucumcari. Now I know how to set the mid points to prevent that problem.
