How do you find info on POI's already stored.
I.E. A fuel stop listed by name only on Nuvi.
Would like to find adress, Long?lat ect....

Please don’t take this post the wrong way. I am not expressing criticism nor am I trying to start a fight. I am not even expressing disapproval. However, a number of recent posts have bothered me, and I ask myself these questions.

Why are we wasting so much time and space deciding how to :
a. Spray, or in some way, mess up our license plates so as to make them unreadable?

Is FM Traffic service available only during weekeday?
I checked it on my GPS today, I got the message "No Traffic data available" though FM signal light was green.

I just uploaded a POI file for the restaurants, check out below link.
If anyone wants to do a similar file for a different area, I'd be happy to share how I did it. Actually quite easy, most addresses are on their web site.

I just purchased a nuvi 360 for my grandfather for xmas...

But when i compare the screen to the 350 that i have been using for the last year, the display is not as colorful (contrast) as the one i bought last year.

Any similar experiences, or is this defective?

I thought that I read somewhere, that when using the Source button in the mp3 player, that you could switch between the onboard memory and the SD card when selecting mp3's to play.

when I tap on Source, I only go from mp3 to the sample Audible book files that came on the unit, and back.

I don't seem to be able to pick from the two locations.

I have a garmin nuvi 680 and I want to download POI's from this website and save to SD Card and be able to access POI from the SD card and not my garmin device. I have downloaded the POI to my card using the Garmin POI loader but it does not give me any options to access from sd card.

i cranked up my nuvi 760 and got a message "new MSN software available". i connected my GPS and started the webupdater. yes indeed a new version is available for MSN and TMC

Does anyone know what the difference is between all the PCB versions?
I've seen ver 3, 5, and 7.

I know probably very few have the Storm yet but in case someone has tried it, how does the Bluetooth work with the Garmin? I have my enV connected to my Nuvi 660 and it works great, but this new Storm looks like a nice phone. Any other reaction to the Storm yet?

I have a Nuvi 350 that does not except routes. I went to Mapquest and created a route and then used the drag and drop feature to change the route. I sent this to my Nuvi and it shows up as waypoints, however, they are scattered around my favorites based on the street names.

I have noticed that there is no auto answer feature on Bluetooth on my Nuvi 760 and I am sure other models will be the same. It will be nice to have auto answer feature for hands free calling.

I don't know if this has been posted here already. I got it off a GPS newsgroup.

How do you use the Garmin traffic info when you are in familiar territory? Do you let the GPS route you to where you've driven a thousand times before or do you just watch the traffic display and do your own routing?
