EasyGPS question

I must be missing something. From reading the posts here, I was under the impression that EasyGPS was similar to Mapsource in capabilities, but apparently much easier to use.

I have Mapsource, and it shows maps with POI's, routes etc., and the streets.

When I open EasyGPS, I don't see any map in the right hand pane. If I click on the Receive from GPS button, and bring over tracks or waypoints say, they show up in the lower left pane in a list, and the points are in the right hand pane, but not plotted on a map showing streets.

And the waypoints are very jumbled and hard to read, almost like some of them are on top of each other.

Am I making any sense?

Can any of you EasyGPS users tell me what I might be doing wrong?

Jim

EasyGPS does not come with maps. It's simply a tool to manage your Favorites (and other data), back them up, and transfer them between your computer and your GPS unit. (I believe that ExpertGPS [not free] has maps.]

You can, however, zoom in and out and pan in the window frame on the right side of the application window. This will allow you to see the position of the locations more easily. The default view zooms out far enough to show ALL of the waypoint.

okay

I understand now.

Thanks for the explanation.
