Garmin Connect - Photos.

I am also having problems loading the web page. I am unsure if the web page is supported. When you go the https://garmin.connect.com website, there is no reference to the 'Photos'.

You can go directly to the http://www.panoramio.com web site and upload/download photos in the same fashion. I don't think there is a limit to the downloads, like there was on the https://garmin/connect.com/photos web page.

Give the http://www.panoramio.com web page a try.

COOL

Thanks for the info. I did not know that you could just use that site.

Garmin Connect Photos

Has anyone received any sort of response from Garmin about this web page issue?

Panoramio Photos

I can see on the site that you can upload your photos.

I do not see anywhere that you can download the photos and their coordinates and send them to a GPS device.

Part of the ease of Garmin Connect Photos was that I could easily send them to a connected device.

Garmin Connect Photos

I believe the Garmin Connect Photo Web is out of service.
The only I get it´s a sentence:"Sorry, you don´t have permission to access this page...."

Recieved a repply from Garmin:"Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.

Regarding to your email, please check your internet security settings or set-up because when I have checked everything worked perfectly."

Tried everything, also from many sites and its the same....

Best wishes from Jucabras

jucabras have you had any luck getting on the Garmin Connect Photos yet?I have been in contact with Garmin back and forth about why I can't get the web site to work.I downloaded Firefox and tried it with no luck.I have used this site in the past with no problems. Here is the answer I got today.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International.
I have loaded the page and seems to be working just fine. Have you tried using an alternate browser? There are unsecured items on the page, so if you have imbedded security (Internet Explorer 8 does), this will probably be disabled if you are unable to load unsecure items.

Garmin Connect Photo

Hi Charlesd45
Worked with Iexplorer and Firefox( two PC`s, one at home;other at work; and two laptops with different OS,Win7 and Vista)….checked every security restriction on incoming sites, webs, etc…registering myself before getting in to Garmin Connect space …everything was allowed on my settings not to stop any unsecure page… and still doesn´t work.
So,I`ve decided not to try any more and continue healthy on my hobby: geotagging my own photos with greattest Extra POI soft and navigate to them and being happy.

No luck either

I have tried about everything I know to do about all the security setting myself with same results. They said at Garmin support it works just fine on their computers.I just don't understand it.I guess the easiest work aroung would be to just put in the coordinates and save as a favorite and using edit add photo to that favorite. The Panoramio site works like it should.

Garmin Connect Potos

When you reach the page with https://connect.garmin.com , sign in (register) and click on the left-down corner image, where there is a Nüvi image and the thumb of an image that it should (must) links to the desired page (http://connect.garmin.com/photos )… we only get the error sentence.

The same if you try by searching any Garmin Nüvi model by Products/On the road/Automotive and select any one with photonavigation feature and click on the right located quick link to Garmin Connect Photos… is the same as above… and still does not work.

And the link displayed is :
http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us/panoramio_error

So, forgive me, but Garmin couldn´t affirm it`s working.!!!!

If anyone is connecting and having photos thumbs downloads to gps unit… Congratulations!!!!...

@jucabras

I have still been going back and forth with Garmin by email. They finally called me at home to try and fix the photo connect problem. They signed on to my computer and got same error report I sent them. They done a screen shot. The problem has something to do with the Google Map part. They will let me know when the problem is fixed. It does work at the Garmin office though. Before he called I had tried Firefox,Chrome,Opera,Internet Explorer 8 and Msn Explorer.

Garmin Connect Photo

Hello. I have the same problem and can say that this is not a browser problem. Simply Garmin (or Google) blocked your IP adress.
http://connect.garmin.com/photos always working but not all users have permitions to connect.

Try Tor Browser and you will get IP from USA or EU and will see that page loads without error.

Or try to find free proxy with SSL from Germany or USA or another civilized country. But it is realy hard to find not banned and working proxy to.

After many tests I can say that this page works perfectly with IE8. And only one way to use this feature for me is Tor network.

BTW you can disconnect from Tor or remove proxy from browser when application is in running state and you can see Google maps. After that you can use your internet connection without tunnels/proxies/Tor and all functionality will be available for you.

Regards.
