Mexico Trip 1490T

Just returned from Mexico (Guanajuato and San Miguel)on a two week trip. The 1490T did very well on the roads and directions. It did not know very many POI's which was ok. Overall a very good experience and it worked well.

Never had one problem....the roads are great and with a little spanish no problem with signage. Drove all over the place...Obviously tried to stay away from the center of towns....

Guadalajara

If we ever get to Mexico we want to visit Guadalajara and Jalisco province. I love the dances and the music of the region.

Spanish is my native language so I would have no problem communicating, I watch the news on the Spanish channels, among them CNN en Español and mi amigo you are one lucky man, Mexico is as safe as Afghanistan or Iraq, as much as I would like to travel there I don’t think this is the right time. Not for Me

A very dangerous place these days--and it's spreading to California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. I'm not interested in going near the place. Wish the Obamacrats would get serious about the problem and work to clean it up instead of merely posting "Warning!" signs!

We go to Mexico twice every year and have been doing it for many years without one problem. You have obviously never been to San Miguel, Guanajuato, Dolores Hidalgo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, San Pancho, etc....much safer and cleaner than NY, SF, LA or any other large town in the US. Very few beggers and no one standing on the corners claiming to have been in a war. I feel as safe if not safer than visiting any city in the US. We love it but then again to each his or her own...Doesn't look like Europe is much safer, especially France and Germany..
