Garmin talk

OK, got 2012.1 on my 3760 and now it's not tracking my position like it did before. I haven't figured out if it's going to hurt me or not, but my car Icon is now beside my route line, not on it like it should be. It also isn't happening all the time just close to intersections.

Anyone notice it yet, if so what did you do?

I frequently drive through a junction from an eastbound exit to a northbound exit. One can take either a left exit or a right exit to make this transition. During HOV hours, the left exit is only accessible to HOV vehicles, as it is meant for use by the HOV lane users. HOV hours end at 0930.

Garnin 255w Have POI red light & speed cameras downloaded

Just recently downloaded the latest version, but now I have 2 sets of red cameras and speed on my garmin under my Extras icon>Custom POI's headings How can I delete what I don't need off my Garmin.

I just started using a Garmin nuvi 1390 that I got as a present. I'm new to the whole "GPS for the car" thing, but so far it's been fun and useful. Is it possible to download additional voices for my nuvi? I didn't see a lot of everyday options on the Garmin website (I certainly don't want to listen to SpongeBob or a squirrel all the time!)

I noticed a weird problem since I installed the 2012.10 maps.

I find that when I search for a city, my 885T returns two cities with the same name. For example there are two Ottawa's , two Toronto's, two Sudbury's, and two of my hometown Barrie.

With the latest map update, my Garmin is now giving me Canadian speed limits on some freeways. Very happy to see it.

Ever since I bought it and through one map upgrade my Nuvi 350 has covered all of Europe including the UK and Ireland. I have just paid for a lifetime upgrade only to find (after purchase) that the upgrade needs more memory than my appliance has available. I have had to remove northern Europe and the UK from my coverage to accommodate the upgrade.

FYI...

After upgrading my Nuvi 350 to the latest software from the Garmin site, I noticed my custom vehicle was no longer displayed and wasn't selectable, even though it was still in the vehicle folder. I found that if you restore a copy, overwriting the existing file, it will once again be usable. Just throwing it out there!

Gander Mtn. has Nuvi 1450's on sale for $159 with a $30 rebate added. Your final cost would be $129. That's a heck of a price.
I bought a 1450 ten months ago from Amazon.com for about $175 and I just love it. That Gander Mtn. price is spectacular.

So, I've been using Garmin for about 15 years. For the most part I've been happy with them--good products, somewhat reasonable prices, decent customer service.

Is there a hack to move the contents of a pre-programmed Garmin SD card (plug and play street maps) to a microSD card???

I have City Navigator Europe NT that I've used with the nuvi 350. The nuvi 350 has since died. I now have a nuvi 3760LMT that has a microSD slot.

Is there a way to copy the maps from the SD to the microSD and have it usable on the nuvi 3760LMT ?

Does anyone know where saved routes are stored in this Nuvi? I mean when you go into the GPS memory via a computer.

Does this mean the new maps for my 3760T are out? I currently have 2011.40 ALL

I found out a while back that this SLOWS DOWN map transfers from Garmin....

My 'fast fix' is to unblock all and do the download...

Anybody know which of these when blocked, slows down Map Downloads to a crawl?

3D traffic data, Google search thanks to its GSM radio and tether your phone to it using Bluetooth for hands-free calls. It also has voice recognition software.
