dezl 560 only shows 50 records in a custom POI

I have loaded several POI into my dezl560. When I try and brows through them on the device it will only show 50. when I load the same POI's into my PC I see all the records. Does anyone know if there is a way to show more the 50 records per POI file, or do I just have to break the files down into groups of 50 records or less?

You will only see

You will only be able to see the 50 CLOSEST locations. If you move your actual location you will see the 50 closest to that location.
If you do a near find you will get the 50 closest to that location.

This is normal

All GPS units show just the closest 50 to your location. And they are "as the crow flies".

Categories

I would do categories, the search in that category instead of 'all' locations.

Why would you want your GPS to show you more than 50 records from one POI file? What advantage do you see for yourself if you were able to see all of them.

You can only see them 4 at a time anyway, as you know.

I wanted to add one of my

I wanted to add one of my POI's to a route I was creating. The POI was several hundred miles from where I was and I was not sure of the location. I had to keep moving my location around until I was close enough for it to show. I agree the closest 50 works 99% of the time. Just an option to see all would come in handy sometimes.

that's where "Near"

That's where "Near" comes in handy. You may not know the exact location but you might know its 'near' some city. That way the unit displays those locations near that point.

Or

Or you can search by name, if you know the name of the actual point.

nearest 50

Another situation where the "nearest 50" limitation is annoying is when the poi list or category you are searching is very densly populated. The nearest 50 may only give you a 4 or 5 mile radius. If you just want to expand the search radius, using the "Near a different city" option doesn't help. You have to find another method to either narrow the search or search from a different location. It can be done, but it is still annoying.

Does Trip Planner have "near"

Box Car is right about "near" at least for my 765T. I can plan a "Where To? > Custom Route" where I enter the start and end locations and then use the "+" to add other points. When I press the "+", the next screen has "near" at the bottom which I press to enter the name of the city nearest my "via" or "interim" destination.

Does your "Where To? > Trip Planner" sequence have something similar?
