Anyone know how long a Battery SHOULD last? My Device is only about a Year Old and will not Charge in AC or DC

Looking to get a flash card for my 760 for MP3 media. I was thinking about getting a 32gb card. Has anyone tried one on the 760?

My girlfriend and I are having a friendly debate. She insists that, over time, our Garmin Nuvi 265 WT deletes certain favorites, saying that she's sure we saved them as favorites at one time and now she can't find them.

I can't believe that the GPS would do this, seeing no reason for it.

Can anyone settle this? Thanks.

What a nasty surprise Garmin has put me through... the maps of Canada and USA do not fit on the GPS unit, so it suggests to install the the SD card, which I bought. It's an 8gb card. Unfortunately, their AWFUL software doesnt recognize it. And it's not just me. I've read other threads here of the same problem. The solution is mind-numbing to say the least and confusing.

My Garmin 3590LMT has on occassion left the red light button stuck displayed on the left side of the map. This button appears when you are nearing a red light camera. After passing the red light location the red light button should vanish. When I press the button it is a location that I am no where near. Has anyone else experienced this and know why this occurs?

We just took an 800 mile trip (400 each way). I did a trip planner before we left and put it in my Nuvi 2450.

It went in great and all was just fine.

Got the Nuvi 2555LMT as a gift for Christmas. So far so good. Very fast acquisition time and the search feature is faster. Loaded my POI file and it tucks it away under- Where to – Categories - Custom POI.
You get the option to add a short cut to the “Where to” page but not for “Custom POI”.
Anybody figured out a work round.

It's been over a year since I actually did an update. I don't want to update the maps just yet in my unit due to the complaints about LA but I would like to update the firmware only. Since it's been awhile. I can't quite remember if I can update the firmware only w/o a mapset update using WebUpdater.

After returning two new Tom Tom 1650's to Costco because of flickering, random resetting,jumping from page to page and very, very late turn announcements, I am wondering which Garmin to get. I liked the 6 in screen on the Tom Tom but Garmin's biggest is still at 5 in.

I am thinking about upgrading from my trusty(most of the time) nuvi 855, but there are so many different models with more or less the same features, I'll probably have to start a spreadsheet to make all of the comparisons. My main criteria is Lifetime Maps, and to a lesser extent Traffic.

Any suggestions out there in nuvi land; good experiences, ones to stay away from etc.

During a route on a 1450, is there any way to see what city I am in? I have tried the plus and minus signs in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, but nothing much happens to the map.

My unit is a 2460LMT.

My problem is I have many routes with points I may want to stop at along the way, or use to force a routing I want. The problem is the unit does not want to continue the route if I don't actually hit these spots.

does it show charging on screen well charging

Is it possible to use my garmin 885T with a backup camera ? or any other Garmin.

I have been trying to find out how to get voice proximity alerts to work on my new Garmin nuvi 2595lmt. I downloaded the latest POI loader, I have all my poi's loaded on device. i have the .mp3 files named the same as matching file, (ex: restarea.csv, restarea.mp3)all i get is an audible beep when near POI. I do i get voice alert to work?

I am trying to add a POI and when I connect my Garmin 780 to my laptop, even though it boots up and I can see it is getting power, the POI Loader won't recognize it. Also when I look at my drives it is obvious that my computer doesn't see it either. BTW, this happens with BOTH of my laptops. And I have never had this problem before in my 5 years of ownership.

Here's a question for nuvi owners whose nuvi offers Voice Commands with a "wakeup" phrase.

Have any of you ever had your nuvi running along with an FM station on your vehicle's radio when a NOAA weather alert cut into the FM broadcast?

For me, the "digital hash" that occurs at the beginning and end of the NOAA transmission told my nuvi to wake up and it responded with a "Say a command."
