Garmin talk

I was driving on the Long Island Expressway when my 765t dinged and a message flashed on the screen, "That feature not available", and it had to be selected to remove the message from the screen.. Anyone ever have that message pop up, or know what caused it.. The only poi file I was using was the red light camera csv from this site.. Wierd, never happened before..

What's the best way to get the latest camera POIs loaded onto the headunit and then to keep it current? Trying to establish a process to make this as easy as possible.

Here where I live the lane assist is totally messed up on the newest map (2013.30) and I'd like to go back to 2013.20.

Garmin Lifetime Updater offers as only option to re-install the same (newest) map!

I curious about the GTM information showing up on my 3590.

I see 3 NAVTEQ subscriptions showing up as well as one for TTN. The TTN I added because NAVTEQ reporting is so poor.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 1300. I love it, well until a bit ago. I was trying to upgrade the maps and messed it up somehow. Totally my fault. Now it says there is a map upgrade, but it refuses to apply it. I have tried to contact Garmin via e-mail and we are just frustrating each other.

Some four years after the last update, the 2xxW series got a firmware update. And here I am thinking they were never going to update this thing again.

On a 1490LMT...

When I updated the map to 2013.30, did the large junction file (700Mb that everyone talks about it)get updated automatically or not? Some say yes, others no...I looked inside the unit folders and could only find a small 44Mb JCV file

If it doesn't, how does one get the file?

I was trying to update my 1450 today and I received message that I needed to purchase maps.

This was supposed to have the lifetime maps.

Am I missing something?

I gots myself a new 3590lmt. Gotta do a back up of it...but
its not showing all the files. I plug in my 3790LMT and it shows all the files. Folder options are set correctly to view hidden files and system files. I never change that.
So where's the .System directory?

I've tried using the mp3 sound file with my DNX710EX with no success. Before I tried the wav option, I contacted Garmin Customer Service, who said that it didn't support either mp3s or wavs.

Is Customer Service correct and I'm stuck with the annoying notification sound, or can I try wavs?

Anyone know how to change the color on these ready made vehicles? Looking for an Easy way if there is one.

Hi all, I followed a link a few months back and downloaded the free generic squares of Tenerife and managed to get them on my Garmin GPSmap 60Csx but now I can`t seem to get the Topo GB map back on the unit although it is on Mapsource and Basecamp I can`t seem to transfer.

Think I have tried everything?

I just picked up the GTM 60 receiver and wanted to compare with other user's experience with the receiver. I'll report back with my own experiences on it shortly.

I've searched the forum and couldn't find an answer so my apologies if I've missed a relevant post.

Question:

I downloaded the speed and red light camera files (csv format) and a Texas speed trap file (gpx format).

I transferred them to my Nuvi and then transferred data to Basecamp.

I can't find any of the data above when I look in the Basecamp maps.
