I've communicated to Garmin with 10+ emails of pointless FAQ responses on how to update my device. Aside from being insulting as they clearly don't read my inquiries, it's just gotten pointless.

Anyway, Garmin insists that there is a Spanish voice that announces street names. however, it is not on my device. I have all updates and all additional updates installed.

For those, who like new stuff. Garmin released new software known as "Garmin Express". Haven't tested it, but according to Garmin:

Allright, over the past couple of years Miami-Dade has closed off many neighborhood streets to cut down on through traffic trying to avoid delays on the main avenues.

I continually am routed through areas where roads do not exist any longer, especially in the Miami Shores area of Miami-Dad.

nuvi 855 - tells me the internal drive needs to be formatted. Comments/suggestions?

This is just a heads-up to those who proof their POI files. I always double check any file I download and recently could not get one Point Of Interest to work. It was one of my own creations so I am not putting the "blame" on anyone else, just letting this site know the problem and how I fixed it (a CSV file, but also could have been GPX).

Hi all. I just returned from a trip from Florida to Texas, and I'll have to say that I was not pleased with the overall performance of the 2460lmt. I updated the map prior to my trip just to make sure that if there had been any road changes, that I would have them.

I just got my garmin 2455LMT from amazon for $120. I wanted a faster unit that will not take 4 minutes to figure out which way to turn from a parking lot after being turned on. My 1490T took way too long. My new 2455LTM seems to calculate long routes quickly. Does using a memory card slow a units performance? Map update took about 55 minutes.

How do I get past the 4GB map set limit?
Map install, mapsource, and Base Camp won't let me go past 4gb.

Can anyone explain/verify why TourGuides work consistently on my 680 and Zumo 660, but not on my 3760T?

This is certainly weird. One would think these units would calculate the same distance with rlc files. When I first got my 3790LMT I had to figure out what distance I would set the warnings at. That took a while but

Hello everyone, new to the forums. I have upgraded the maps on my nuvi 2555lmt since I have lifetime upgrades. My question is, can I extract the updated poi file from the 2555 and move it over to my wife's nuvi 1490?

Garmin has finally just released an update for the Nuvi 24xx line. This fixes numerous bugs - AT LAST!!

I've been having problem with the gps mount coming loose from the bean bag mount I have been using for a few years. I have a Garmin Nuive 1495. I think part of the problem is the power cord connects at and angle so the cord is forced down towards the mount. I am using the mount that came with the GPS, and forget which bean bag. Anyone have a recommendation for a better mount or bean bag?

Yeah. There is a new Jill (3.10). She appears to work with EPE. Recalculating is gone again.

I have lifetime updates but last week during the update the windows update arrived and shut my computer off in the process. Now I can't update as it always exits before its done and says call garmin if this continues. I checked and do not have a large map file but have 1.4 gig of space available on the gps.

new questions based on trying to update latest maps and finding 'not enough memory' for the full North American set.

Questions:

1) what is full size of complete NA map set?

2) what is internal memory size on nuvi 750

3) can entire or partial map set (i.e. overflow beyond capacity of internal memory) be put on SD memory cards

Question: Are these compatible with the 1200?

What are these files used for?
