POI projects

I work with the Girl Scouts on the cookie sale and have access to the database with all the locations where girls will be selling cookies to the public. I would love to make a POI to help people find cookies but it would only be relevant for about 8 weeks. Is there a way to put up a POI and then take it down when it's out of date? The last thing I want to do is disappoint cookie lovers!

I am thinking about putting together a file of College Baseball Top Tier programs and their diamond locations. I also will include the College World Series Home here in Omaha. I have looked, and I only see SEC schools locations in the databases. Does anyone else know of any other files here at the Factory?

Is there a work in progress in possibly developing a POI where you could see where police are at because I know for most of us it would really help and you wouldn't have to spend any money on buying a radar detector! Thanks for any info.

I have found the Half Price Books file and a few thrift store files. Are there any files out there for more thrift store regions (e.g. OKC, KC, Dallas, Austin....)?

Maybe a directory of used book stores nation wide?

I found a poi file for Goodwill on the TOMTOM software tonight and barnes & noble & borders also.

Anyone know if this has been done. I know my son plays HS Sports and every time we play away my wife calls and ask directions etc. If I'm already on my way this makes it even worse as I can't look up the address.

I decided to start a discussion thread regarding this set of files.

This is one of the most frequently updated files on the site and I could really use the help of one of our veteran members to take this project over for me.

How do I let other uses and the creater of a poi file that there is an error?

I recently found an error in the Fudruckers resturant file.
The address listed is correct but the actual gps coordiantes and incorrect, they take you to a neighborhood.

I wanted to provide this POI input but not sure which POI it belongs in. One is the home of General Clark in Clarksville, Indiana the other is a milestone (basically same location along the Ohio River) of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

I know there are a few Utah residents here, and I was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas for Utah specific POI files.

I've already got the America First Credit Union POI file made. But I'm looking for a little more experience in making POI files, so if you've got a request, let me know.

I may be missing it but after searching through the site I'm unable to find any Canadian Rest Area POI's.
Could someone point me in the right direction?
Otherwise I guess I should get busy building one.

Was wondering if anyone else that knows how to make pois would make either a dog park poi and or a chipotle poi, cuz i gotta take care of my hunger and my dog.

I am an FDNY chauffer and I downloaded the fire box POI file. It can be a great tool but I found a lot of the boxes aren't covered. I have used the file and it has come in handy but I would like to know how I can fill in the ones that are missing. I'm not sure about the other boros but Staten Island is missing a lot of locations. Anyone out there know how to add coordinates?

while loading poi files today.. i get a message saying that there is a line 45 error, everything before will load but anything after that wont.

i dont kno if its jus me but i just thought i'd let somebody know.

Is there a POI file that contains the state boundaries?

I was driving through various states on a recent road trip and thought it would nice to be able to see that there is an upcoming state border. I couldn't find a way in a Garmin 750 that would indicate the state border.

That basically mean they do have a list of all their stores. Could anyone contact them to have a list of the stores?
