I know there are a few Utah residents here, and I was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas for Utah specific POI files.
I've already got the America First Credit Union POI file made. But I'm looking for a little more experience in making POI files, so if you've got a request, let me know.

Utah Projects
I like the AFCU POI as that's where I bank. If you look under rest stops, KOA campgrounds, state parks, Attractions you will find a number of utah poi's. You could start one for all the ski resorts in the state. I might be able to come up with a few more. ideals. The only thing is alot of things in utah are already in the united states poi listing and not just by the state.

Oh Absolutely, I would really love it if someone did a Zions Banks POI.
Maybe one for Caves in Utah, as I hear there are many, but i have no idea where.
And then there's Golds Gyms, mostly in Utah anyway, that could be a good POI.
Besides those 3, I live in Utah, and I recently (today) made a list of POIs that id love to see... so perhaps something in this list will inspire you.

There's a Theme Parks POI, and i wrote the creator today to suggest he add 4 more, including Lagoon, and Mariotts Great America.

Interesting...
The ski resorts idea is perfect. I'll look in to Zion's Bank as well, I know they are quite large here.
Caves might be harder, as many of them only have a dirt road leading to them.
If you can't learn to do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly.
You're Right
You're right, the dirt roads wouldn't really make the caves very easy.
On another note in addition of Ski Resorts (great idea), and Zions Banks (one I'd use), the Golds Gyms would be an easy one, and if you got daring, you could try for ALL LDS Church Buildings (meeting houses) in Utah, and even label which are Stake Centers.
Beyond that, you could do all the Lightrail stops in SLC (i might even end up using that one). And you could get creative and do all the Bishop's Storehouses, or Canneries, or other LDS owned properties of interest to the average Utah resident and visitors.
I believe someone already did LDS Temple's, but it wouldnt hurt to double check their work since so many of them are in Utah.
Lastly, if you wanted to target the amazingly huge college crowd, you could go for $1 Theaters, or all theaters in Utah. You could go for all Dance Clubs, Comedy Clubs, Nickel Arcades, Roller Skating Rinks, Ice Skating Rinks, or maybe even a much harder, "FREE" Hangouts or Dating Locations for Utah College Singles.
Speaking of Colleges, you could do all Utah Colleges, including all the SLCC UVU and BYU campuses around the state.
Well, good luck, I'll be watching for anything new you put out! Thanks for being a contributor.

Uhhhhhh.....

I have two words for you my friend: HELL NO!!!
There's got to be *millions* of LDS churches just in Salt Lake County alone.
And you could get creative and do all the Bishop's Storehouses, or Canneries, or other LDS owned properties of interest to the average Utah resident and visitors.
Hmmm..."other LDS owned properties"...that's easy, I'll just put one massive marker that covers the entire state.
