POI projects

I know we are suppose to contact the POI file developer but some have no way to contact them. What do we do the the new additions or corrections when there is not a way to contact them. Krispy Kreme is reopening stores in the Phoenix area and we had one open this week. I need to have it added to the file.

Has anyone ever thought of putting together a POI for DD&D from the Food Network?

does anyone have or know where i can get a poi file for the dirt tracks in the united states?

I am almost done with an iPhone application that displays the list of NPR stations. It can either show near stations or all stations. For any station, it can show more information, a button that takes you to the station's web site, and a button to map the station on the iPhone's map application. All using the nice iPhone interface.

It'd be nice if someone put together a list of public libraries. Didn't find it on search.

This is one for the car people outhere! I love cars and like to window shop at almost any dealership but especially the the Classic, & Muscle Cars along with some dreamy drooling over exotic sports and luxury cars. Just uploaded POI file with all 530 Masonic Lodges in the state of Ohio. It also includes Grand Lodge and Masonic Homes.

GPS is limited on what it can display. Current format from Red Light Camera POI:

GA Roswell poi-factory May07 08

This would be more meaningful if Column D was:
GA Roswell 5-7-08 Alpharetta + Mansell
which is displayed as:
GA Roswell 5-7-08
Alpharetta + Mansell

The above provides the intersection with the red light when you Edit the POI to view the comment.

I am starting a car interest POI file with things such as car museums, racetracks, go kart tracks, etc. Any suggestions, just post to this forum topic and I will fold them in and put up a POI file in a couple weeks. Thanks! Chris

Future revised and added truck stops will have setup information for those who have DirectTV sattelite service. They will have zip code, Elevation (EL) and Azimuth (AZ). (i.e. 12345 EL 45 AZ 212 (SW))

These will only be added, or revised, as I get back to the truck stops to ensure that the data is correct.

Does anyone have Discount Tire/ America's Tire locations in the works.

would like a csv file for all the public boat ramps in Ontario.

Did somebody tried this POI. It looks like if I download it and convert it to a GPX and load it to google earth. Most of the waypoint puts me on a residential area.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

I used the gpxtoPOI program.

The Home Depot US file is fairly large - is there a need or a desire to also have state or regional files?

What do you think?

Please assist a returning GPS user.

I have not used a GPS in several years, but have a new need. I am an isurance agent and wish to keep good tabs on my 200 clients within a 50 mile radius.

looking for advice on what is the best GPS for me, while on the road, to be able to quickly ( and Graphically ? ) see what clients are in the area.
