I can check the Southern Maryland/Northern Virginia areas. This is the area below DC, not on the East side of the bay.

I have a list of all current Best Buy stores, I just don't have their corresponding coordinates. I'm working on that ATM. I'll break it down by state once I get that done and then upload the files.

The Concord store has the wrong address and coordinates, here's the correct info:

I downloaded the Best buy file this morning and I'm in the Tucson area and one of the stores listed as on East Broadway in Tucson actually had coordinates for Brooklyn NY. The Wetmore store was slightly off the actual location and one new store on Calle Santa Cruz was not listed. I have added and corrected as follows. Hope that helps a little.

I'm having trouble with one of the Best Buy locations.

Both in Google Maps and on the Garmin, it shows up not at that address but in fact more than 15 miles away.

The correct coordinates are: 41.948386, -88.031828

The coordinates for the 350 Army Trail Road in Bloomingdale, IL are also wrong.

Is there a widespread issue with the correct coordinates? The two close to my home in suburban (ie, metro) chicago are not accurate.

THe 900 GOlf Road in Schaumburg is also wrong. Correct Coordinates are:

seriously, what is going on? or am i severely missing something? This is now three locations I found to be incorrect, off by ~ 10 miles (not being picky by a few feet)

I have found that the batch coordinate decoder that is being used by many is not trustworthy, if the address is not found it will return a location on the street and not necessarily at the address. If the street is not located it will give the location of the city.

I find that using the quick decoder or the one that does single addresses to be a better solution. It gives the accuracy address, street or city. If it only is accurate to the street, you can then use Google if you are using yahoo etc. Some times then you get a more accurate result. I always check the results with Google earth to see if it looks correct, check nearby stores for there addresses etc. I believe that this and probably many other pois just used the batch decoder, it is very time consuming to do it correctly, using store maps etc to double check the address if it doesn't look right.

But I have made all the corrections you have submitted (I double checked them , not that I don't trust you but I have found errors in submissions), and thank you for bring these errors to my attention...

Does somebody want to correct the geocoordinates for a Best Buy store located in N Attleboro MA? The correct coordinates are:

Latitude: 41.938418 / Longitude: -71.349874

The coordinates in the current Best Buy file place it about 7 miles north of the actual location. The other file data for that store seems OK.
