What This File Is About:

I have followed install procedures for installing POI's to the Zumo 660. I am downloading putting reaming the .bmp and the mp3 to match the .gpx or .cvs and then running the poi installer says it updated. I see the custom POI's on the gps. If I just have the map view on and pass like a shell station the icon does not appear or the alert does not work.

Questions about POI CSV files for Garmin. I'd like to start making my own POI files and in looking at an existing one I see how it's layed out. My only question is what is the last column for where you have things like LHxxxx?

I happened across an entry for this POI File (and don't know the proper procedure for submitting updates.)

Found it pedaling my bicycle (mile 9 of an 18 mile ride) and went back later with the gps to get the data.

Report any Windmills in your travel, and we're talking about the (Dutch or Holland) kind, not the newest turbine windmills used for electricity generation. However, I guess we could always start one for those as they're call Wind Farms!

I'm a recovering alcoholic with 20yr sobriety, and noticed there was no reference to alcoholism when I first joined POI factory a few yr ago.

I just returned from a Texas vacation. I traveled through Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. There are o many speed traps in Oklahoma and Texas, If it weren't for the "Teaxa Speed Trap" POI, my vacation would have been ruined. When I was notified, that I was "driving in a speed enforcement area" there was a traffic cop there in more than 50% of the time. It was amazing.

this is my first post here first off, secondly I just got my garmin nuvi 265wt for a few trips I am planning on taking this year. I been living in Hawaii the last 11 years of my live, never really had need of gps as I didn't own a car there and honestly mapquest and google maps let me get my way around on the The Bus there with out any issues.

Other than the red light and speed cameras, how (or to whom) does one make suggestions for additions (or corrections) to POI files where the submitter is listed as "poi factory?" Since there is no "Contact" link for that account, should it be via public post? The site contact link? Private message to Miss Poi? What's the proper protocol?

came back from dc to day . i took a bus out there but used my gps to guide me the right way to all the dc poi's attractions metros eats etc. i just wanted to say what a great jobs they did with the project. it was my first time in dc and i got around the area pretty well without any trouble.

I tried to see how to contact 'mcmargarine' with an update for Red Robin locations, but could not see how. There are several new locations listed for Florida that are not in the POI File. This is one of them that I calculated...

I also read Miss POI note and looked at the POI file that there is no phone numbers and address on it. I wish I have enough time & efforts to help.

I know that there is a site that has csv files but they have all the state cg etc... included.
I want to put together a file of just the NF campsites.
I went on the us forest site and there is a section on gps usage but I couldn't find any data that was already tabulated.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am new here and I do not know how to contact the submitter of a POI file. The name of the submitter is Dave817. The correct location of the dealership in Brandon Florida is -82.34002, 27.94390.
