POI projects

I would like to start a POI for GUN ranges in the USA.
I have a few started for Tennessee and I see another or 2 in the POI files here.
I would like to make one for all the US since you can shoot in most states as you travel.

So If you know of one that is open in your area Please email the info.

I would take them from the net but I can not confirm if they are open/current or not.

While driving by today, I noticed that the Whataburger in Melbourne, FL was closed. It is no longer listed at the Whataburger web site. This is the one that needs to be deleted.

anyone aware of a good source for a POI for Rome, We are taking a first trip there in March. Any assistance is greatly appreciated

Is it possible to create a POI file to alert me if I'm going over the speed limit? I have a nuvi 755t, which displays the speed limit data.. this would be a very useful piece of functionality, especially if one could configure the amount over the limit before a notification is displayed/sounded.

I wasn't able to find this in the forums; apologies if this has already been discussed.

There are several campground and RV park POI files available here and each fill a niche whether it be an affiliation such as Good Sam or KOA or state or national parks.

We used the Harvey's POI file to try to locate a Harvey's in Kanata, Ontario. There are two listed in the POI file(Kanata 1 and Kanata 2). The one labeled "Kanata 1" is not there. I checked the Harvey's web site and only one is located in Kanata. The one listed as "Kanata 2" is correct.

This one should be deleted from the Harvey's POI file.

How do I delete POI's and Custom POI's that are outdated or no longer active in order to save space. Got a nuvi 265 WT.

I would love to get a No-Kill shelter POI for Georgia. Does anyone have this?
If not, are there others who might be interested in this as well?
If so, and no lists exist, perhaps I could take it upon me to create this POI for GA as well as all other states in the US to start with, however...
I might need some help with this.

Also if I do not add a icon or alert I guess the unit will use a default?

I am wanting to Extra_Poi_Editor to create a US Vitamin Shoppe file. I can go to their site and use the store locator and build a file but wanted to see if anyone had one of their own that I can merge into mine a shorten my look-up time. Please let me know.

Has anyone created an exec/utility that will automatically pull selected POI files from the POI factory database and download to their PC. I currently download each file every time and I am interested is there is a utility available. Thanks.

Forgive me in advance if this is easily located. (I did a search and came up with nothing)...

Another driver told me that someone on here had created a POI file with alternate locations that allow truck parking.

He said that it hadn't failed him since he started using it when the truck stops nearby were full. (Which is almost ALWAYS the case)...
