It seems we get continued access to red light camera alert updates just for staying up to date in the site such as with discussion. This place is awesome!

Hi - I have seen this discussed before, but my question results from frustration wrt my Nuvi 370 in Montreal (foot). I had already used in Montreal, so no issue of moving 300 miles and such. But when I went to use, I would see 3 strong satellites quite quickly, with the outline (totally unfilled in) of another perhaps 6 or so.

Is it possible to put in all rest areas on a choosen route in a NUVI 360 with icons shown and alarm notification 2 miles before you reach the rest area?

Does anyone here own a Garmin iQue3600? My in law had one and it acted up and no longer display the device ID and thus locked up the map. I wonder if anyone here has seen it before.

FYI, my Nüvi is about 30 days out of warranty and was having some problems. I contacted Garmin and they worked with me on the phone trying to fix the issue. After no results the asked me to send it in and when I asked how much the out of warranty repair would cost the tech told me just send it in and they would fix or replace it at no charge.

when you update your garmin gps does about three or four times a year does it fill up your hard drive on your gps?

Curious as of how to read the signal strength screen to my nuvi 350. Particularly interested in the circle with satellites on it on the left. I see a red dot on the outer circle... Where am I in relation to this - am I the red dot -or in the center of the circle?

Also why does the gps unit need 4 satellites for triangulation. Doesn't "tri"angulation mean "3"?

I recently bought a nuvi 350, which is my very first car GPS unit. I am also new to this forum. I noticed that Garmin uses and announces many county road (CR) names instead of rea; street names. This is quite odd, since most people use the posted real street name instead of the CR numbers. It's quite confusing. Have you had this problem with nuvi, do other GPS product have the same problem?

I have started a project to create railroad crossing poi's.I know its a big task but after hearing some people getting killed at these crossings, i though it would be a good ideas to have these poi's with alerts like you would have your speed traps and redlight camera alerts.But i wanted to know if these poi's exist?I tried looking for a list of crossings online for research but haven't found any.

Is there only one voice able to be used on the 760? I'm not seeing where different voices can be selected. Am I missing it, or is there only one voice available?

Did I read a note from Miss POI last night about the way this site should be, informative, and kind to each other's questions. I tried to find it today and could not find it. If I did read it, I thank her. If you are asking a question about the 2009 update, you don't want to feel that you are dumb. As of right now, their are about 465 Q&A about the update.

I installed my new maps 2009 maps a few weeks ago. My 750 freezes a few times a week now.

what I have done so far is a master rest. I removed all the custom POI's I have loaded.

I will run it for a while and monitor it. It seems to freeze just after an alert I think. If it does not freeze again, I know it's the custom POI.

Does the c340 have mp3 capability, or am I wasting my time downloading sound files along with the csv and bmp files.
It wasn't clear from the tutorial, but do I need to edit either the csv or the bmp so they have exactly the same name (other than extension of course)? For example I D/L'd Cracker-Barrel.csv and Cracker Barrel_0.bmp from this site. Do they need to match?

A couple of weeks ago My Nuvi updated to something like version 3.10 I had neglected to update sooner, oops!

well I wanted to see if I noticed any differences before I asked you all if you know of any differences. well,

I don't really see any differences.
DO you all know what the update included, or did?
