Garmin talk

Am I the only one or am I crazy. Is there anyway to have the unit reset the trip every time I turn off the unit? I cannot believe that they expect us to do this manually everytime.

I have been using my 760 for sometime and absolutly love the unit. But I am having an issue with the bluetooth. For some reason, on some calls there is no audio. I have to hit the transfer audio to phone button and then the transfer audio to unit button and then I can hear the call. Anyone have any idea what the problem may be?

There is a E85 gast station next to the town that I am in... However, that service is not listed in the nationwide E85 listing.. How do I list it?

I'm new to this forum and new to Garmin GPS.
I show that there are different downloads for POI.
1. GPX - with Garmin extension (phone dial support)
2. Garmin CSV - regular line breaks
3. Garmin CSV - nuvi 350/360 line breaks
4. Garmin CSV - no line breaks (easier to import)

Not sure which one to donwload? Sorry if this has been asked before as I could not find it.

Just purchased Nuvi 255W. Seems great so far. Worth the money in my opinion. Would like to get some discussion going on this particular model. I'll post my observations & issues as well.

Is there an easy to use software to edit the current.gpx files and then save them back to my favorites. Righ now I am either using Microsoft word and sometimes notepad or wordpad

i see these options:

1O Garmin Device
2O MapSource (Advanced)
3O Custom Folder (Advanced)

i used to download from my POI folder on my computer to the garmin SD card ( say K- drive)

now which option would i use here ?
1 or 3 ?

Currently I am traveling from Portland, OR to the Napa Valley in CA. I am using a Garmin StreetPilot C550. Is there a way to just input a city without putting in a street number an street name? When I return to New Jersey, July 5th I will post my travels and the use of my Garmin StreetPilot C550 as I have used a lot out West.

Help me understand this:

At the end of July, I have to go to Rockville, MD. So on my Nuvi 750, went under settings and created a route from Dulles airport to my hotel. Cool...so far.

What I'm failing to understand is:
A: How do I use that "route" created vs. just arriving at the airport, get my rental car, acquire signal, goto my "favorite" hotel.

Am I the only one that's noticed that the mileage (well at least my) c340 tells me a poi is away is way off of what it winds up being?

Has anyone had trouble finding a signal after rebooting their Nuvi (660)?

Is there a setting in the Nuvi 660 to not take you down dirt roads when trying to go to an address?

I have a 1gig SD card but I can not get the POI loader to reconize it to store POI files, can any one help?

On my Nuvi 780 it leaves a blue line to show the route that you've already driven. But it never goes away. Is there a way to clear that?

I got a nuvi 200w 2 weeks ago. And I've always wondered why the need for custom POIs when my unit came with 6 million? Well, my question was answered twice this past weekend on my first long trip with it going from Ohio to Tennessee.

I have a Nuvi 650. Is there a way to map routes on my computer and download onto the Nuvi for future use.

When I load the red light camera file onto my Garmins, is there anything special I need to do for it to automatically warn me? Is this different from a normal POI file?

The Zumo 450 only comes with a mount for a motorcycle. Perhaps someone knows which mount to purchase would provide car windshield mount? I want to use this in my car too. There are several car mounts for cars to use with a zumo 450 and with a wide range of prices. The price range is significant and it is confusing.

Is there a expire date to recieve the free 2009 map update. Wife got me a Zumo 450, but I won't get to see it for another couple weeks. I heard on a motorcycle forum that the free update ends either July or August. Is this true?
