I don't know why but if I roll back my Nuvi 350's firmware to 5.00 I could acquire satellites faster. I'm thinking of keeping the 5.00 firmware instead of the current 5.50.

I just downloaded all the school alerts for the whole nation and its over 7 megs. Will it all fit?

I know I can just put in my region, but I travel with my Nuvi

Hi all, what is the specs of the ac adptor for a Nuvi 250w?
Does someone have these specs?
I have a adptor for my hand free bluetooth and I cant tell if it is the good specs.....

In order to load new updates, I have to unload all POI's then reload everything. If I just load one POI that takes the place of everything already loaded. Am I doing this the right way? I have a nuvi 750. Thanks. John

how can i free space on my nuvi 200 like what is safe to delete and what is not also i updated to 2009 do i need to delete 2008 or did it do that when i updated to 2009 thanks for your time Jester

can i use the alerts that talk on the nuvi 200 and if so how can i do this like if i want it to say red light camera ahead thanks for your tim

I scanned the recent Subjects and don't think this has been said at POI Factory yet.

Can anyone help me create .CSV files.

I am very knowledgeable with excel and know how to create .csv and .gpx files but how does one take a list of Business names, phone numbers and addresses and quickly find the coordinates into an Excel file.

I downloaded the National school zone alert database this morning using POI Loader. It appeared to down load the file correctly but I do not receive school zone alerts. I did use the manual function when downloading and set the distance at 300 feet.

Any thoughts as to what my Garmin 780 won't alert? The volume ia set at 100% for all functions.

Has anyone tried this? It was posted on 5/7.

Has anyone successfully installed the version 4.10 update to their 200? My fails at 88% every time.

I've tried different USB ports, different devices (nüvi and flashdrive), and even reinstalled WebUpdater.

If someone eMails the GUPDATE.GCD file to me can I just copy it to the Garmin folder on my nüvi, or do I need to use an Updater?

Got my 2009 update disc in the mail. Installed, no problems. They say they have nearly 6 million updated POI's. The problem I have is now they are showing restaurants in them middle of my subdivision and neighboring ones that don't exist. Plus they show restaurants in strip centers that don't exist. I don't remember seeing these errors before updating.

how do you load mp3's on to the c580 make a music file and upload it with the custom poi?

Just curious as to whether anyone has ever deleted ALL the Nuvi folders/files, maybe even reformated their Nuvi drive, and then of course reload from their saved backup. I have deleted unneeded voice/help files etc,in the past, but can you go down to Bare-Bones with what we think is the full saved original image just like when it was new???

If I purchase a SD Card can I install POI's on it. Will they show up on my screen or do I have to load the ones that I want to show up?

How many Custom POI's can I install on the actual Nuvi 250 system?

my new map is on its way for my c-340 . just was wondering if there is anything i should need to know when updating the map ,or does the install go pretty smooth. thanks glenn

Hi,This weekend I am going on vacation and will be taking my GPS with me. I just want to know from anyone who takes their GPS with them on airlines if there is anything I should know. I am assuming I can take the suction mount and cigarette lighter cable with me as well as the GPS in my carry on bag. I just want to be sure so I don't get hassled at check in security.

As a new user of GPS, I am surprised when the currency converter does not work. The rate update is correct, but the conversion page seem to have nothing to do with it. It turns out the currency converter is a known and common issue. Not really a big deal for me, but asked the tech support anyway. I was directed to revert to firmware 5.3 and then do a master reboot. It did not fix the problem.

I have a Nuvi660 and there's a new firmware available for it and it says it fixes a problem with retail maps. Does anyone have any further info into what exactly this fixes? I'm a little concerned that it might effect my custom topo maps that I am using.

Just just went into MyGarmin and I have a free 2009 update now available for my Nuvi660. Its almost 2GB and I'm downloading it now. Being a old Magellan fan, I gotta say I love Garmin's support.
