Question about POI's in Nuvi 750

Just got my Nuvi 750. Another question I have is this.
I downloaded the Walmart POI file. If I load that POI file into my Nuvi, using POI Loader, will each walmart store show up in my "favorites"?

IF after loading all those up...change my mind and lets say I only want the Texas Walmarts....what then? Is there an option or way on the unit to delete in mutiples rather than one at a time?

None of them will. I'm not sure how a 750 works, but in my C530 there is a category called Extras. It's in THERE that the 616 custom POI's that I've loaded reside.

You can EASILY edit the POI file to remove unwanted entries. If it's a .csv file, you can use Excel or any text editor (Notepad is my tool of choice) and make whatever changes you want. If it's a .gpx file, there are editors out there to help you make the changes.
I'd also recommend that you invest the $6 for retiredtechnician's POI Verifier. That program will automatically let you select only a single state's entries from a POI file.

Welcome Stu

Welcome Stu, This is a great site !
The Walmart POI will not show up in your Favorites.
It will show up in your Extras. (Where to/Extras)

You will need to go to Tools/Settings/Proximity Points and select Custom POI to display it.

Download the Walmart.bmp file too so the icon will show on your unit when you are zoomed in. The .bmp and the .poi need to have the same name for it to work.

If you want a audio alert associated with it be sure to name the .mp3 the exact same name as the .poi and the .bmp and load all of them at once.

Each time you use POI loader it will write over your last install. When you want to add something else be sure to load the Walmart files again with your new POI or the Walmart files won't be there.
