Garmin 550c going to mexico !

My Friend Rigo Ramos is going to mexico next week is there anything he needs to do to use his garmin 550c out of the U.S. Any suggestions would be appreciated
I used my garmin in Brazil
Without any problems. It can be used anywhere, but if you don't have maps for the area there will not be a lot of detail or streets, just major highways..
I have taken mine to Europe, Russia and Japan...

No maps
Garmin doesn't have maps available for Mexico so he won't be able to have any detailed road maps there. There won't be an issue getting signal and using the device but it will be of limited use.

Actually Garmin does have City Navigator Mexico NT but I don't have firsthand experience as to how detailed the maps are outside of major urban centers. You may want to check this link at Garmin.

Wow, sorry for the misinformation. I was sure that Garmin didn't have maps for Mexico. I guess I'm just outdated or something. Thanks for setting that straight.
