Garmin 750 - Opinions please

Hello , I have the opportunity to sell my Garmin 340 and am considering the Nuvi 750. I have seen a few complaints on 750 software and was wondering if you would recommend or discourage the 750 purchase (Is it a reliable unit?) .THANKS!!!!

Go Dawgs!!!

.

The 7x0 line has had some software issues for the last few months. With that said, I personally think the 7x0 line is the best bang for your buck.

The 8xx line and the new 7x5 line are overpriced IMHO.

Now that they've rolled out

Now that they've rolled out version 4.2 the problem created by 4.0 and the problems not fixed by 4.1 seem to be gone.

I was very happy with it prior to vs 4.0 and am happy with it again. I do not intend to update again to whatever buggy software they release next smile

Good luck,

Bear

I like it!

Have had mine for several months now after looking over the 600 series and the 200 series. Rumors of an upcoming 7x5 series made me think twice, but I chose the 750. Have been very happy with the widescreen and lack of flip up antenna (also have a 360). Didn't need integrated bluetooth (have a stand alone speaker), so I chose the 750 over the 760. Price continues to drop and good deals are available - probably since the 750/760 series is being replaced with the 7x5 and 800 series. Good luck!

I Concur

With comments above. Combine the 750 with MapSource, or RoadTrip on a Mac - and you've got it good.

I have had my 750 for almost 1 yr

I would recommend it and buy it again. The software issues have been frustrating but most bugs have been fixed. The only remaining issue is the optimizing of routes, and they are working on that. I have faith!

No problem - buy it

I have the 760. The ONLY difference is the bluetooth. Now that they've fixed the stupid (thankfully brief) firmware issue they caused with 4.0 and 4.1 there is no reason I can see not to get the 750. It's a great unit.

Nuvi 750

I very much liked my C330, and I loved my 250w. The 750 is my current trophy. lol I think its one of the best units out there with the bells and whistles it comes with along with its current retail price.

Garmin 750

Buy it, but shop around as the price vary widely. Beware of the sellers that want you to call and confirm the sale. They want to rip you off. I was on a 2 month busness trip to Israel without my 750 what a bummer. Sure wish Garmin would do Israel map as I have to go back.

Sam's or COSTCO. In the event something goes wrong or you don't personally like it, their return policies are best.
