UGHH No memory glitch??

Can anyone help me please??? I have a Garmin Streetpilot C320 with City NAV NT 2009 map. I also have a 2.0 GB SD card in it. I have always had custom POI's on it. This time though after wiping it to load my 2009 map the POI's won't go on. I keep getting the same error message of "not enough memory" no matter how small of a file I pick. If I put my SD card into a card reader stick and load it that way everything fits fine except none of the alerts work for like schools etc rendering it useless. Any suggestions?? Thanks!
By the way...the map is loaded onto my SD card and before I finished installing it mapinstall was showing that only 1/4 of the available space was going to be used.

If you have loaded the 2009 maps to your sd card then you should have some space on the gps unit to load your pois Did you install some parts of the 2009 maps to the gps unit that resulted in using up all the free space?Custom pois will not work on the sd card.Also see http://www.poi-factory.com/node/1265
