what is the map id # for the 2016.20?

I have a dodge ram 3500 (2014) and i would like to install additional poi/s on the onboard gps. (navtaq) andbody to help how to install them on what file type????

I posted a somewhat similar thread about a year ago.....

All the present POI Icons are designed for older units with smaller screens.... and when these .BMP files are used on lager displays, the icon sizes are hard to see....

For PC:
Garmin began rolling out Garmin Express v4.1.9.0 for the PC today. If you would like to upgrade to the latest version, Check for Updates to Express on the Settings page within the Express application. This version includes the following changes:
• Fixed an issue where a Forerunner 310XT in a particular state could not have data sent to the device via Garmin Connect.

My current Garmin is a NUVI 40LM.

It has lifetime maps, but I would like an upgrade.

My new one should have the following features:
6 inch or BIGGER screen,
Ability to use my custom made routes,
Ability to add a backup camera system,

And that's about it as far as must have's...
Any additional features will be welcomed, but the3 above are show stoppers for me.

Trying to set a route on my Garmin to mypass Dallas. On my Iphone's Maps app it takes me on interstate 635 that bypasses the main part of Dallas. But when I try to route my Garmin it does not find or know about the interstate 635. As far as my Garmin is concerned -- it does not exist.

Hi All.

I have 3790 and have a strange problem.

Whenever I turn on the 3790, I get a message that the Traffic receiver needs a software update.

This has been going on for a couple of weeks.

I tried using GarminUpdater several times, but it does not indicate any new traffic receiver updates at all.

Any ides or suggestions ?

I may be way off base in this forum but maybe someone can help. I have a Kenwood 890HD car receiver
that includes Garmin GPS. Does anyone know how to update maps on this unit? It sure is not as easy as adding maps to my Nuvi 750! I checked a Kenwood Forum but I think they are all asleep! No reply or they don't care.

I can't get my Nuvi 370 to sound an alarm when approaching a speed camera from Cyclops. The unit does display the speed camera icon however. The audio notification is turned on.

Anyone has had a similar problem in the past?

I am kind of surprised that refurbs are available already for the Nuvicam LMTHD, but theGPSstore.com has them in stock for $329.95.

It seems this might be time to adjust some of my old ways of updating maps. Like alandb and possibly others, I have both a 755T and a 3597LMTHD--the latter a recent acquisition where I'm still discovering its many and sometimes subtle differences. I've been keeping the 755T regularly updated using GarminMapUpdater (aka GMU) via the clone method, so no issues there.

Someone had posted that they got the large JCV file. I wonder how?

To my 855 the 24,*** kb file was supplied.
For my 2797 I got the 494,*** kb file.

I keep trying to install the new map file and it gets to 73% installed then it starts the reinstall again starting from 50%. It does this every time. I uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin express and it didn't help. I tried using the stand alone map installer with windows 10 and it crashes every time I run it.

I went to use my BaseCamp and it was GONE...
I plugged in Nuvi and opened Garmin Map Updater thinking I could get it there.
Garmin Updater said the 2016.2 map was ready to download so I said ok so I could get BaseCamp.

After all updated I did have BaseCamp. It is 4.4.6, is this the newest one?

Garmin Express tells me that a Map Update is available for my 3597, CN 2016.20!!!

I have a Garmin Camper 760 and an Ecoroute HD.

I can't find the menu option on the Camper 760 to link it to the Ecoroute.

Am I being dumb, or are these two not compatible?

I have an 8GB SD card on my 3790LMT. I can't load and read the manual to my Nuvi onto this SD card, so what I would like to do is to write up some notes reminding me of how to access certain NUVI settings, take a screen capture of my notes, save that capture as a .jpg file and move it to the SD card and then be able to read those notes on the Nuvi unit itself.

Downloading V2016.10 to my 2699LMTHD keeps timing out on my Verizon MiFi. So I went to another WiFi connection and downloaded to my PC only using Garmin Express
