Garmin Prices!

got a gpsmap 60 csx last week for 279 + modest shipping from erwincomputer.com. looked very reasonable and cheapest i could find especially compared to retail and highest price out there.

that they are good for historical information, but useless when trying to make a decision as to what or where to buy.

When I'm looking to research prices, I let Mr. Google find who's got the best price on a Garmin (or Raymarine, or Furuno) unit, adding the model number to narrow the search.

yeah, did a lot of research that day including amazon.com then a bunch of links on the geacache.com web site. i was all over the 'net that day 'cause i decided i was in the buying mood.
definitely have to search around and ebay can still be a good resouce, too.

I think the best way to get some feel for good prices is a bit of well spent time on the web with a couple of seach engines.

Is everybody aware of the price comparison websites like:

With the exception of the shopping clubs like Costco/Sam's, these give you the lowest priced retailers for a given item within a few seconds, and they even rank them on delivered cost including shipping and tax.
