Help learning how to use my 330C

I purchased one a few months back for the time when I would be retired and traveling across the US. I have not been able to find an easy way to keep up with all the POI's. I would like to be able to load them onto one or more SD cards and then access them with my GPS unit as needed. Some of the POI's I would like to have access to are the Wal Mart locations, Cabella's locations, Roadside/Rest areas that allow overnight stays. Diesel truck stops (Flying J) etc that allow overnight stays. Also important would be state parks and national parks with low rates for camping, and dump stations for when the holding tanks need emptying. I realise I can't load all of these into my Garmin unit at one time, but if I could carry them with me and upload them to my unit as needed, that would be a big help. Can anyone tell me how to load them to the SD card and then into the Garmin.... Or is this even possible.
Thanks so much for all the help. Technology has passed this old man by...

Welcome to the site. You can not load custom pois to you sd card.It is only used for maps.I have the same problem with my c340.The good news is that you can load plenty to your c330 and most of the ones you listed can be downloaded from this site.To get started read info on this thread http://www.poi-factory.com/node/85 and if you have any questions or need help let us know.

Thanks for the quick

Thanks for the quick reply....
So if I understand this. I cannot load POI files to an SD card and store them for later use. I can however create a single folder on my laptop and load each of the POI files I want into that one folder. Then using the POI loader program from Garmin I can load all the POI files that the one folder contains into the GPS (Space permitting).
If I later want to add another POI, I need to load it into the same folder the others are contained in and re-download them to the GPS. This will maintain the full number of POI's.
If this is correct, thanks for making it easy for an old man to figure out. If it isn't right. Please try again.
Thanks.

Sounds to me like you have it .....

.

And just remember that the c3xx series has about 2MB of space for Custom POIs. You will likely be able to get around 15,000 - 20,000 locations in this amount of space.
