One of your tires is low and the whole car is tilting a little.

Your car must be completely level in order to received a level display. This is why all Garmin mounts have a tilt and swivel display, so that the receiver can always be oriented "square" with the satellites.

Some of the more advanced Garmins will sometimes show a lightning bolt icon on the screen. This indicates that your Garmin has detected jagged objects in the roadway ahead and is routing you around them.

I'm guessing your model does not have this feature and you ran over one of the aforementioned jagged objects.

Really, John?!? I must have missed that page in the manual.

It's clearly explained on page 432 of my step-by-step full-page color glossy-print 3-ring binder manual that was supplied with my Garmin 350. I have heard that with later models, Garmin marginally cut back on the extravagant printing expenses in an effort to be more eco-friendly. Your manual might be slightly less detailed.

I drive in the center of the highway that way it keeps the jeep and gps level. This way you avoid the crown in the road that they put in for water drainage.
