How can i use the pois on my tablet? I can load pois easily onto my nuvi with poiloader, but I haven't found a similar app that can do so.
Also, it has to work when I don't have cell coverage.

On a recent trip I lost my trusty old Nuvi 255 GPSr . For the return trip I resorted to my iPhone 6 with NavMii (Canada).

I paired my motorcycle helmet with the smartphone and enjoyed NavMii's voice prompts - something my old Nuvi doesn't do.

I missed the Nuvi- my waypoints, custom POIs and alerts but the NavMii app did a decent job and got me home on time.

I have been trying to use Google Maps a little more but am having trouble finding just the information I need. Thought it would be good to start a post.l

My question:
I can make a route in Google Maps on my PC and send it to my phone. The route comes in as a notification and if I click on the notification it will send the route to Google Maps.

Do you think the release of the iPhone SE will get other manufacturers to make more small form factor smartphones without major compromises to specifications?

I would like more diversity in flagship phone sizes.

I think some non-techies have not really paid much attention to electronic privacy rights in the past. But now Apple's recent stance has increased awareness.

No matter the outcome, I'm glad to see more discussion around this topic, especially in the larger population.

Just purchased the Vívofit 2 as a gift. After downloading the manual all looks pretty straight forward. Want to set it up before giving it to my wife. Anyone have any tips that may not be covered in the manual? I talked to some guys and gals before buying this and they say they really like these fitness activity reporters.

I received the Android 5.1.1 update from 5.0.1 today on my Verizon Note 4 and all went very smooth OTA. Took about 15-20 minutes to download and complete the install.

I think I finally have to admit that my trusty GPSmap 60CS is retired. I haven't used it for my field work in over two years.

In its place, I have been using a wonderful app called Theodolite by Hunter Research and Technology, LLC.

I just learned this today: If you have a device with iOS 8.2 or earlier, Airplane Mode will also turn off GPS...

So - on iPhones running any iOS after 8.3 - Airplane Mode will leave the GPS receiver working on the device, and you can use it with an app that stores full maps on the device without a need for a cellular or wifi data connection.

The Garmin USA app for iPhone has been updated to version 2.10 and includes Maps 2016.10.

I was forced to update my company iPhone last weekend and since it didn't explode, I decided to update my 6+ and my wife's 4S. The only problem I had was the"link" (my term) to our carrier on my wife's iPhone didn't reset. I didn't realize it at first because the Wi-Fi worked. However, when my wife went to the store, she couldn't send or receive calls.

Have I missed this on here?

I just downloaded my POIs into Google Maps.
I also downloaded my Routes into Google Maps but have not found how to route them.

*Go to your PC. Open Google Maps and be sure to sign in so it will link to your phone and tablet.
*In the upper left click on the three bars
*Click on My Maps
*In the right corner click on Create
*Click on Import

I'm looking for a windshield mount for my OnePlus One smartphone. This is a big phone (5.5 inch display) with a rear camera located on the top center back of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy S4 new firmware update I545VRUGOF1 released and just finished updating my S4 that went fine and everything is still working,

Does anybody know how to fix this?....

I search for an address and Google Maps finds it.

Using SHARE I select Garminn Smartlink (v1.8.2)

Smartlink opens up and the SEND button is available.
