Android Auto failure
Just got back from a trip to Disney World. I used Android Auto and my smartphone and google maps for the trip there without any problems. On the way home a week later the app would fail on the phone continuously. Luckily I was able to use my on board navigation as a work around. At a stop I googled to learn a recent update to Android Auto was the culprit.

Camsam for red light and speed camera alerts
Testing the Camsam app on android along side with Google maps and I'm finding it pretty good with alerts. Alerts the warnings on the correct side of the road traveled. Tested about a week so it's not long term but it's surpassed several other apps that I had DL'ed and uninstalled.

Apple's iCloud Keeps Forgetting To Delete Users' Synced Data
Users’ deleted notes should completely disappear from Apple’s servers after 30 days. However, ElcomSoft, a Russian company developing computer and mobile forensic tools, discovered that the deleted notes could still be extracted from Apple’s servers after the 30 days had passed, even though they were no longer visible to the users.

Welcome To The Smartphone Squeeze: HTC Launches The U11
The history of HTC flagships has been a tale of ups and downs. In all the reviews of smartphones we’ve ever done at AnandTech, only two have ever held an AnandTech Gold Award: the iPhone 6S and the HTC M7. At the time, the M7 offered a great camera and specifications for its price, and ever since we’ve been waiting for HTC to return to former glory.

POI Files for use with Android Sat Nav Apps
Hi Guys,
I have a few questions regarding POI files and Android Sat Nav Apps.
First one is can the POI files from POI factory be used/modified for use on an Android Sat Nav App.
Secondly, if they can be used, which Sat Nav App can be used?
Thirdly, ignoring POI files, which is the best Android Sat Nav App?

Samsung email with icloud.com can't delete messages.
I'm scratching my head over this one. My fiancé changed over from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S7 about 6 months ago but kept her icloud.com email address. Lately the Samsung email app and the gmail app can't delete messages off her icloud.com. If she uses the icloud.com off her PC it works. I checked the SSL setup of the Android port settings, etc. and it's the same as Apple recommends.

I phone charging in car
I have the Iphone 5S, and when I try to charge it in my car charger, vis USB port, it discharges and loses power instead. Anyone hear of this before.
