Any Problems With iOS 9?

I was forced to update my company iPhone last weekend and since it didn't explode, wink I decided to update my 6+ and my wife's 4S. The only problem I had was the"link" (my term) to our carrier on my wife's iPhone didn't reset. I didn't realize it at first because the Wi-Fi worked. However, when my wife went to the store, she couldn't send or receive calls. I had to call the carrier and they reset it. Other than that, all three iPhones are working fine and all of my apps work.

I haven't noticed much difference in the performance of my 6+. Has anyone else? Then again, I was always happy with its performance anyway.

Garmin Smartphone Link got messed up after IOS 9 upgrade. If you don't use then you are OK otherwise IOS 9 will not affect you. Smartphone Link app lost colors and became while, no text is readable. Its connectivity via Bluetooth also got effective for certain models. It works with Nuvi 3597 but does not connect anymore with NuviCam.

iPad 4 (retina)

I know with iOS 8, I could no longer use the original Apple charger, a USB extension, and the original Apple lightning connector. The update would detect the non apple charging cable and stop charging. This was corrected by spending 3X what the USB extension cost on an Apple licensed but aftermarket cable. Curious what neat tricks are in iOS 9.

Can confirm SmartLink issues

With my 3597 the SmartLink app works but the blue color and text has disappeared from the home screen. The icons are still there and it continues to work with my phone. I did have Bluetooth drop and then refuse to reconnect but that has happened periodically for the last 2 years.

SmartLink app

So far, all normally used apps are good. Only SmartLink has problems noted above.

A few unlucky folks...

A few unlucky folks have had a device freeze when they tried to upgrade to iOS 9. The only fix is to do a restore from iTunes, and failing that, a hard reset (ouch!). At this time the cause of this problem is unknown and Apple has no fix other than the above.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2015/09/22/apple-ios...

I upgraded an iPhone 6 with no issue. I had some improvement in finger-flicking speed and battery life. After seeing the information in the above article, I opted to wait for a new-and-improved iOS 9 update from Apple before upgrading any other devices to iOS 9.

Calendar

When I switch calendar to monthly view, I can't tap on the date to look at the calendar daily listing. I used to be able to do that without any problem before the update.

Now I stare at the "monthly" calendar, tap a certain date repeatedly, and hope that I get to see the listing of my appointments for that day.

I hate being invisible to machines.

iOS 9.1 I've been running

iOS 9.1

I've been running the beta of 9.1 for weeks now and haven't had any problems. There is usually an updated version every 2 weeks or so.

After Wife updated her

After Wife updated her Iphone 6, I could not access pictures and videos folders direct from USB cable and Windows 7.

I did a search and found that If I updated to Itunes 12.3 and then went back to just a windows connect, then I could access folders from W7.
Aparantly Itunes 12.3 has new driver such that W7 then works...

Everything is fine

My wife and I have iOS 9.0.2 running both of our iPhone 6s and iPad Airs. No problems yet.

BTW, I have also upgraded to Mac OS X 10.11 and I like it as well. With Yosemite I had some strange things happening to my iMac's display. No such problems with El Capitan.

Freezes up

Freezes up at times but mostly fine.

iOS 9.0.2

Just updated a few days ago to 9.0.2 and as of yet, no problems.

Has Anyone Else Noticed

That the settings on some of your apps change after updating the iOS? I have turned off almost, if not all, of my "check in the background" settings. I noticed my battery seemed to be going down quicker than normal. I rechecked my settings, and several apps had "check in the background" on.

I'll pay more attention after the next update.

It doesn't work with the Nuvi 2789 either. Why oh why do I keep getting suckered into believing Garmin has any quality control or cares if their products work as advertised? They obviously do not!

I believe it's a problem for a specific IPAD model and thats why it's still being offered to others as yourself.

Yeah, the iPad Pro 9.7, which I just bought, is the unit that is having the problems. I just got back from a trip, and I never update before a trip anyway. However, even yesterday, I got a prompt to update to 9.3.2. I'm going to wait until I hear from Apple that it is safe.

Diesel,

I really like it! I like the way the screen adjusts for the ambient light. It is very clear. The keyboard is much easier to use than I thought it would be (I'm using it now). I bought the pen, but have to admit, I haven't figured out how to really use it yet. I get several days on a single charge, but I've only used it for Internet surfing, email and reading ebooks. I even took a few pictures with it, just to see how they looked. The pictures themselves are very good, although I personally find it very cumbersome. I tried to Skype with it once on my last trip, but apparently the hotel's Internet service wasn't good enough. I haven't tried Skyping with it since, mainly because I haven't Skyped since. Overall, it has been everything I wanted it to be.
