Android Maps
My wife and I just purchased a Samsung Tab 3 8.0 for our joint Christmas Gift to each other.
I have a NUVI 2555 LMT for navigation, but would like a free Android map application, mainly to allow my wife to see where we are on our trip, or for simple mapping applications. We might use it for wandering around town someplace or for getting an idea about the route to get from Point A to Point B.

Downloading right now, looks to be a regular update. Enhanced Urban Guidance functionality, three different routing options, latest map data, various stability and bug fixes.

CoPilot for Android
Is there a way to load POIs into Copilot?
I have just downloaded this app and have never used it yet. But it looks like there is no easy way to load a POI file

Sygic and Heads up
I am in progress to buy and download Sygic for my smartphone, it has 50% off this weekend (in sweden at least) so i thought i will give it a try.
I will also try out the extension for heads up display, and i wonder if anybody else allready tried it and would like to share your experiences?

Apple maps: how Google lost when everyone thought it had won

Is Apple Maps perfect? No. Neither is Google. Or Garmin Nuvi's maps. No Map is perfect. I've never had an experience using Apple's Maps that I haven't had on any other Map app - and Apple's Maps is getting better all the time.

Get the 5s or Wait for the 6?
Decisions, decisions. My battery is dying in my poor old SG2S, although it will probably last another year. I recently got my wife an iPhone 4s, but I've been using it more than her 
I have to admit that I am impressed, even with a smaller screen. From all I've read there's a lot to like about the 5s.

iPhone 5s Touch ID Safe?
The biometrics hacking team of the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) has successfully bypassed the biometric security of Apple's TouchID using easy everyday means. A fingerprint of the phone user, photographed from a glass surface, was enough to create a fake finger that could unlock an iPhone 5s secured with TouchID.
